The Netflix thing might sound gimmicky, but after long days exploring the city, it’s genuinely nice to collapse and binge-watch something familiar. The pool on the roof deck is where this four-star rating really makes sense – it’s not Olympic-sized, but it’s clean, rarely crowded (except maybe weekends), and the city views are pretty spectacular, especially around sunset. I actually met a couple from Australia up there who’d been staying for two weeks and kept extending because they loved the setup so much. The WiFi is solid throughout the building, which matters more than you might think – I was able to work from the balcony without any issues, and video calls to family back home were crystal clear. One small thing that impressed me was the kitchen setup – it’s compact but functional, with a proper fridge and microwave, so you can actually store leftovers from those massive Filipino portions instead of wasting food.   The Alexa was a really great addition and they provided everything I could have needed. A small mall downstairs with several food and grocery options, also super close to the business district of Makati.
  
  What could be improved: The check-in process was unusual and made unnecessarily stressful. Some things could be cleaner (eg the handles on the cupboards). The road is noisy in the mornings and you can’t use the pool without getting a coupon from the admin office, which is closed on Sundays.
