150 Newport Boulevard, near Terminal3 Airport Overview

You know what caught me off guard about 150 Newport Boulevard, near Terminal3 Airport? I honestly expected another generic airport crash pad, but this place actually has some character to it. Walking into the lobby, there’s this unexpectedly modern vibe – clean lines, decent lighting, none of that tired corporate hotel smell you usually get near airports.

The location is pretty much exactly what it sounds like – you’re literally minutes from NAIA Terminal 3, which is a godsend if you’ve got early flights or late arrivals in Manila. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: even though you’re close to the airport, it’s not constantly loud with plane noise. The building sits on Newport Boulevard in a way that sort of shields you from the worst of it, though you’ll still hear the occasional jet if you’re a light sleeper. The four-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be the Shangri-La, but it’s definitely a step up from your basic airport hotel.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually get that most guests are dealing with travel stress. Check-in was smooth even at weird hours, and they’re pretty good about storing luggage if you need to kill time before flights. The rooms are honestly better than I expected – good blackout curtains (crucial for day sleeping between flights), decent WiFi that actually works, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a construction site. I mean, the decor isn’t going to win any awards, but everything feels clean and functional. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent pressure.

Here’s something you might not think about: the area around Newport Boulevard has gotten pretty developed lately. There’s a casino nearby if that’s your thing, plus some decent restaurants within walking distance – though honestly, room service was surprisingly good for the price point. The hotel restaurant does a solid breakfast spread, nothing fancy but they nail the basics. Filipino options alongside international stuff, and the coffee’s actually drinkable. Parking‘s available if you’re driving, though Manila traffic being what it is, you might want to factor in extra time getting anywhere that’s not the airport. The 8.2 rating from other guests seems about right to me – it’s one of those places that doesn’t promise the moon but delivers on what it does offer. Perfect for business travelers or anyone who needs to be near the airport without feeling like they’re camping in a departure lounge.
