The building itself – Tower 2 in the South Residences complex – has that modern Filipino residential vibe that’s become pretty common in Metro Manila’s southern suburbs, but honestly, the execution here is better than most.

What I really appreciated was how the condo strikes this balance between being equipped for longer stays without feeling sterile. The kitchen has decent appliances (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), and there’s enough counter space to spread out if you’re picking up groceries from the nearby SM Southmall or hitting up some of the local markets in Almanza Uno. The bedrooms are properly sized too – I’ve stayed in plenty of Manila accommodations where “two bedroom” means two tiny boxes, but here you can actually move around and unpack properly. The air conditioning works well, which matters more than you’d think given how humid it gets, especially during the rainy season.

The location is sort of interesting because you’re technically in Las Pinas but you’re still connected to everything else in Metro Manila – though honestly, traffic being what it is, you’ll want to plan your timing if you’re heading into the central business districts. What works in your favor is that this area has been developing pretty rapidly, so there’s good infrastructure around the building. Parking wasn’t an issue when I was there, and the building security was professional without being overly fussy. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort experience, but it delivers on what it promises. If you’re someone who values space and the option to cook your own meals occasionally, especially if you’re staying more than just a couple nights, this place hits the mark. Just don’t expect hotel-style daily housekeeping or a concierge – you’re trading those services for more independence and room to spread out.

  Location was very convenient, close to the mall. Unit was very clean and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Condominium staff were top notch – polite, friendly and helpful.
