City Of Dreams – Nüwa Manila Overview

You know what caught me off guard about City Of Dreams – Nüwa Manila? It’s this massive complex right where Asean Avenue meets Roxas Boulevard, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from another casino resort. But this five-star place completely changed my mind about Entertainment City – which, let’s be real, can feel pretty sterile and corporate most of the time.

The thing is, once you’re inside Nüwa (it’s the hotel tower within the whole City of Dreams complex), it feels like you’ve stepped into this zen oasis that somehow blocks out all the chaos of Manila. The lobby has these incredible floor-to-ceiling windows, and the staff actually remembers your name after day one – not just because they’re reading your keycard, but because they genuinely seem to care. I mean, the check-in was smooth as butter, no waiting around while they “find your reservation” like at some places. The rooms are spacious too, which is saying something in this city where hotel rooms can feel like closets. Mine had this huge marble bathroom with a soaking tub that I actually used – you don’t always get that perfect water pressure, but here it’s spot on.

What really makes this place work though is how they’ve handled the whole integrated resort thing without making you feel trapped inside. Sure, you’ve got the casino downstairs (it gets pretty lively on weekend nights), plus all these restaurants and shops, but if you want to escape, you’re literally five minutes from SM Mall of Asia or you can catch a taxi to Makati without dealing with too much traffic – well, by Manila standards anyway. The pool area is where I spent most mornings actually, because it’s got this infinity edge thing going on and it’s surprisingly quiet before 10am. Pro tip: the poolside service is excellent, but if you’re trying to save some pesos, there’s a 7-Eleven right in the complex. Parking was never an issue either, which honestly surprised me given how packed Entertainment City gets during events. The whole place just runs smoothly in a way that makes you forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in Southeast Asia – and with that 9.3 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks they’ve got something special going on here.

Reviews of City Of Dreams – Nüwa Manila

  • Luxurious – Lynette from Singapore – September 8, 2025 (8/10)

Staff are all ever ready to help with their welcoming smiles. Luxurious rooms and bathrooms. Near huge malls. Plenty of restaurants around the area.

What could be improved: Inconvenience of everything having to pass through the X-ray before entering Hotel. Smokey smell in lobby due to cigarettes emanating from casino.

I love our stay in your hotel. Made us feel at best. The staff are all friendly. The room is clean and taking care well at best. The food in the restaurant are all excellent. We will surely coming back.

What could be improved: What I don't like is that we cannot directly go to the shop. We need to ride the cable when we visit the shop like the dreamplay. The reason is we have baby with us and not allowed to cross in the casino. But we understand and appreciated the hospitality of each staff.

  • lives up to the hype and expectations – Federico from Japan – August 6, 2025 (10/10)

really fancy and suits my taste, the check in was smooth and (sorry for forgetting her name) the one who handled the check-in was just so accommodating and even gave me free check out extension. The hyatt hotel breakfast was great (unlike in grand hyatt bgc lol).

What could be improved: nothing much, just that they didn’t explain that the extended check-out time requires a reactivation of my keycards.
