I mean, when I first heard “1BR,” I was bracing myself for one of those cramped Manila apartments, but this four-star spot really delivers on the “cozy” part without making you feel like you’re living in a shoebox.

The location on Seaside Boulevard is honestly pretty smart – you’re right in the thick of things in Pasay without dealing with the absolute chaos of central Manila traffic. The Shore 2 Tower complex itself feels more residential than hotel-y, which I actually preferred because it meant fewer crowds in the elevators and lobby area. What really won me over was stepping onto that little balcony in the evening. You get these glimpses of Manila Bay between the other towers, and there’s something almost therapeutic about watching the city lights flicker on while you’re sipping coffee (or something stronger, let’s be honest). The bedroom setup is thoughtfully done too – they’ve managed to fit a proper queen bed without making the space feel cramped, and there’s actually decent storage for your stuff, which is rarer than it should be in Manila accommodations.

Practically speaking, the building’s pretty well-maintained, though the elevators can be a bit slow during peak hours – nothing too annoying, just worth noting if you’re always running late like I am. The neighborhood has that interesting mix you find all over this part of Pasay, where you’ve got street food vendors practically next to upscale shopping centers. I loved being able to grab amazing Filipino breakfast from the little spots along the boulevard, then walk to more polished restaurants for dinner. The building security is solid without being intrusive, and honestly, I slept better here than I have in some of Manila’s fancier hotels. Sometimes you just want a place that feels like a temporary home rather than a sterile hotel room, you know? The Wi-Fi was reliable enough for video calls (tested extensively), and the air conditioning actually keeps the place cool, which – if you’ve spent any time in Manila – you know isn’t always a given. It’s the kind of place where you might find yourself staying an extra day just because leaving feels like more work than it’s worth.
