Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Discovery Primea, I wasn’t expecting to be blown away. I mean, Ayala Avenue has plenty of fancy hotels, but this five-star place actually surprised me in ways I didn’t see coming. The lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the flashier spots in Makati, but once you’re up in the rooms… well, that’s where things get interesting.

What really got me was the attention to detail – and I’m talking about stuff you don’t notice until you’ve been there a few days. The soundproofing is incredible, which honestly shocked me given how close you are to all the Ayala CBD chaos. I barely heard any street noise, even during rush hour when the traffic below is absolutely insane. The rooms themselves feel more like high-end apartments than hotel rooms, with these floor-to-ceiling windows that give you this sweeping view of the city skyline. You know what’s clever? They actually positioned most rooms so you’re looking out over the nicer parts of Makati, not the construction mess that’s happening on some of the side streets.

The service here operates on a different level – not stuffy or overly formal, but they seem to anticipate what you need before you ask for it. I remember mentioning offhandedly that I was meeting someone at Greenbelt the next day, and the concierge not only gave me the best walking route but also warned me about some road closures I would’ve walked straight into. Little things like that make a difference when you’re trying to navigate Manila’s organized chaos. The restaurant situation is solid too, though I’d skip their Italian place and head down to the neighboring areas instead – there’s better authentic food within a five-minute walk, and the hotel staff will point you toward the good spots if you ask. What I really appreciated was the pool area, which manages to feel secluded despite being right in the heart of everything. It’s not huge, but it’s perfectly positioned to catch the afternoon light, and somehow they’ve designed it so you don’t feel like you’re swimming in a concrete jungle. Parking was surprisingly hassle-free too, which anyone who’s driven in Makati will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

  Amazing location in the center of Makati! You have access to the best places in town fast! Suite was amazing extremely clean and comfortable! The infinity pool is a dream with amazing views of the business center! Breakfast was awesome too and personnel extremely helpful and friendly

  My family and I stayed at DIscovery Primea for 3 nights. The room/apartment was fabulous, clean and ideal for a family as it was a large sized apartment. The beds were comfortable and the ensuite bathroom facilities in each room were immacuate. The breakfast was amazing and the breakfast staff were so freindly and helpful each morning.. Location is excellent in Makati. The pool was lovely and the poolside bar was nice. I have to say all of the hotel staff were amazing, professional, and welcoming and could not do enough for us. Especially the concierge and the front desk staff who were extremely helpful.
  
  What could be improved: I would stuggle to find fault with anything during our stay. The only small reccomendation I would make is the poolside bar service is very slow and could do with a little improvement.

  The bed was absolutely fantastic. The Room was large and a perfect fit for a weeks stay. Everything in the wash rooms were large enough to be extremely comfortable. We loved our stay.
