I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Gabila Staycation at Azure, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a four-star place in Parañaque. But you know what? This spot actually surprised me in the best way possible. The location on Marcelo Avenue puts you right in this interesting sweet spot where you’re close enough to the action but far enough from the chaos of central Manila that you can actually get some peace.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to create this resort-like vibe without being pretentious about it. The Azure complex itself is pretty impressive – I mean, you’ve got these well-maintained facilities that don’t feel like they’re trying too hard to be fancy. The pools are legitimately nice (and not just Instagram-nice, if you know what I mean), and there’s actually space to spread out without bumping into other guests every five minutes. I spent a good chunk of my stay just wandering around the property, and honestly, it felt more like staying at a friend’s upscale condo development than a typical hotel. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free too, which anyone who’s driven around Metro Manila will appreciate.

The rooms themselves hit that perfect balance between comfortable and practical – they’re not going to win any design awards, but everything works the way it should, the AC keeps things cool even during those brutal afternoon hours, and the beds are actually comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even with families around during weekends. The staff seems to know their stuff without being overly formal about it, and check-in was surprisingly smooth. Look, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but for the price point and the convenience of being able to access both the airport area and the southern parts of the metro without dealing with EDSA traffic, it’s honestly a solid choice. Plus, there’s something refreshing about a place that delivers exactly what it promises without the usual hotel marketing nonsense.

  We have been at Azure Resort before in May 2023 but a different apartment then we rented now.
  
  Azure Resort have a lot to offer, multiple outdoor pools and one with waves, an ATM to depost or withdraw money, indoor fitness, outdoor basketball and volleyball field. Many shops and restaurants and even 24/7 convenience store.
  
  Not even 5min walking outside the resort there is a big mall where you can find anything you need, and it is very safe and clean inside the mall.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment we rented had a lot of cockroaches, we killed on day one some big ones and during out stay of 25 days we killed surely over 70 small ones, they are somewhere hiding in between the kitchen and the wall.
  We used bug spray every time when we went out.
  The apartment bathroom was full of back mold and we cleaned a lot our selves.
  The furniture was not sturdy.
  On the pictures everything looked very nice sadly the experience was different.
  Even though one of us comes from the Philippines and we where happy to spend time together we decided to move to another place after our stay was over.the resort itself is great we where just unlucky and with this apartment.
  
  Tip for host, make sure that the cockroaches are dealt with and do a deep and better cleaning or ask the maids to do it.
  Dust on the higher shelves and black mold is not something you want to offer your guests as host.
