Golden Seagulls Hotel Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Golden Seagulls Hotel on Jefferson Avenue, I’ll be honest — the name had me curious about what to expect. This four-star property sits right in the Marina Seaview Residences area of Paranaque, and you immediately get that sense of being close to the water without the chaos of central Manila. The building itself has a clean, modern look that doesn’t try too hard to impress, which I actually appreciated after staying at some overly flashy places in the city.
The Room Experience
My room was spacious enough to actually move around in — something you can’t always count on in Metro Manila hotels. The decor leans contemporary without being sterile, and honestly, the bed was more comfortable than I expected for a mid-range property. What really caught my attention was how quiet it stayed throughout the night, despite being in a fairly busy area. The air conditioning worked like a dream (crucial in this climate), and the bathroom was well-appointed with decent water pressure.
Location and Getting Around
Here’s what I found interesting about the location — you’re positioned perfectly for exploring both the airport area and the bay side of the metro. The hotel offers free private parking, which is honestly a godsend if you’re renting a car or have friends picking you up. It’s about a 15-minute drive to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, making it practical for early flights without being stuck right under the flight path. The Marina area has this quieter, more residential feel compared to the intensity of Makati or BGC.
Breakfast and Dining
The breakfast buffet surprised me in the best way possible. They focus on Asian cuisine, which means you’re getting proper Filipino dishes alongside some international options — not the other way around like many hotels do. I mean, where else can you start your day with longsilog and fresh tropical fruit that actually tastes like it’s supposed to? The restaurant area gets good natural light in the mornings, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to explain dishes if you’re not familiar with local breakfast traditions.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me most about this place is how it works particularly well for couples — there’s something about the quieter setting and thoughtful touches that creates a more intimate atmosphere than you’d find at the big chain hotels. The staff maintains that Filipino warmth without being overly attentive, giving you space to enjoy your stay. You’re getting solid value here, especially considering the free parking and substantial breakfast. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in Manila, but it delivers on the things that actually matter during your stay — comfort, cleanliness, and that sense of being well taken care of without any fuss.
Hotel in Manila reservations surge before K-drama fan meets and esports finals, so superfans secure passes early.

Bed is comfortable and rooms are spacious
What could be improved: One of the rooms we booked has dysfunctional door, keycard wasnt working. We had to call housekeeping or frontdesk everytime we go back to our room, though the staff were nice, it was still a hassle to have to call them everytime just so we can open the door.
Also, their rooms do not have fridge yet.New and Comfortable. Beautiful hotel. – Frank from Australia – November 19, 2024 (8/10)
New hotel, everything worked. I got upgraded to a deluxe Queen suite and I was impressed with the layout and workmanship that was put into the design.
What could be improved: TV was in Chinese and had Chinese programs. They are to be replaced by western TVs in the next few months. Hotel is remotely located, but in early stages. Eventually, there will be closer restaurants and entertainment, I'm sure.Well priced New Hotel close to MOA, OKADA and Airport. – Ivy from Australia – November 11, 2024 (7/10)
Close to Mall of Asia, Okada and Airport. Hotel is brand new and rooms were fresh, spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and air conditioner worked well and was quiet. There is a nice pool and gym facilities and cafe available on level 8. Tea and coffee making facility is provided items such as combs, shaving kit, shower cap, toothbrush and toothpaste including shampoo and shower gel is all provided. There is parking available for free at the back of the hotel. I was provided with late checkout at no additional cost.
What could be improved: TV only had Chinese Cable, Internet was terrible, I ended up using my own, no bar fridge.
