I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Jazz Residences (Destina Stays), I wasn’t sure what to expect from another serviced apartment in Makati. But walking into this place on Nicanor Garcia totally changed my perspective on what a four-star property can offer in this part of the city. The lobby hits you with this clean, modern vibe that’s sophisticated without being stuffy, and you immediately get the sense that someone actually thought about how real people would use this space.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to create something that feels like a proper home base rather than just another hotel room. The apartments themselves are genuinely spacious – I mean, you can actually spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too, which is brilliant if you’re staying for more than a few days or just want to grab some fresh mangoes from the market and not pay hotel restaurant prices for everything. The beds are comfortable (I’m picky about this), and honestly, the air conditioning works like a dream, which anyone who’s spent time in Manila during the hot months will appreciate more than fancy marble in the bathroom.

Location-wise, you’re really well positioned here. Nicanor Garcia puts you close enough to the Makati CBD that you can grab a quick taxi or Grab without breaking the bank, but you’re not dealing with the constant noise and chaos of Ayala Avenue. I found myself walking to nearby restaurants and cafes pretty easily – there’s this whole network of smaller streets around there that locals know but tourists often miss. The staff actually knows the area well too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places just hand you a generic map. They pointed me toward this great little coffee spot that I never would have found otherwise. Parking is straightforward if you’re renting a car, and the security feels solid without being intrusive. With a 9.6 rating, it’s clear other guests have picked up on the same attention to detail that caught my eye – things like consistent housekeeping, reliable wifi, and that rare combination of being helpful without hovering that makes you want to come back.

  The room was clean and the host provided us an easy access for check-in.
  
  What could be improved: The power went off in the middle of the night during our stay, which gave us an uncomfortable feeling for a few hours, but I'm glad it was fixed. Another one was the option to cook our meal, although there was a rice cooker and microwave oven to reheat food, but we wanted to avoid instant food from grab or any processed food, and we were not allowed to cook dishes using the stove.

  Really good stay in Manila with particularly great hosts. I stayed for 30 days, and I was in Tower B which I've heard is the better tower. Had an amazing stay overall.
  
  The room is much bigger than I thought given the pictures. It's a small apartment, sure, but it's not New York or Japan sized. There's a pretty decent amount of walking space and it doesn't feel cramped. The balcony is phenomenal, of course.
  
  Hosts were particularly great. Since I booked a long stay, they put me in the tower I wanted, which I really appreciated. They have multiple apartments here. Someone showed me right to my apartment and helped with my bags as well.
  
  Lots of amenities. The mall is a huge plus. Security is air tight. Laundry inside each apartment, pool, gym, etc. One thing that was really good for me. You can have food delivered right to the parking garage. There's a specificied spot for the Uber drivers on the 2nd floor – super convenient. Elevators are really fast as well and I didn't notice any problem with congestion (which I've heard from other reciews).
  
  I'd certainly stay again.
  
  What could be improved: Other reviews say this about the Jazz. Small smell from the bathroom but barely noticeable in the room I stayed.
  
  These guys do have multiple apartments so it's not 100% guaranteed which apartment you'll get. It seems like all their options are as good or better than what's pictured though – couch, TV, table, etc. Mine definitely was nicer than the pictures!
  
  It's a little jarring for me to have 24/7 doorman. You mostly get used to it, and some people prefer it
