I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Katliza Condotel Kassel Residences, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a condotel setup in Paranaque. But after staying there twice now (once for work, once with family), I get why this four-star spot has such a solid reputation with an 8.4 rating from guests.

The location on East Rodriguez Avenue is actually pretty smart if you know Manila well. You’re close enough to the airport that you don’t have to stress about those crazy traffic jams that can destroy your travel plans, but you’re not stuck in some sterile airport hotel either. I mean, you can walk to decent local restaurants and there’s real neighborhood life happening around you. The building itself has this modern residential feel – which makes sense since it’s essentially apartment-style accommodations – and honestly, that worked out great for us because you get way more space than a typical hotel room. The kitchen setup was a lifesaver during our longer stay; we could actually make coffee the way we like it and store leftovers from those massive Filipino portions you get at local restaurants.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about making things work smoothly. Check-in was straightforward, and when we had a minor issue with the air conditioning (it happens in Manila’s humidity), they sorted it out quickly without making us feel like we were being a pain. The rooms are clean and well-maintained – you can tell they’re not cutting corners on upkeep just because it’s condotel-style rather than traditional hotel. The beds are actually comfortable, which isn’t always a given, and the bathrooms have good water pressure. You know what surprised me? How quiet it was at night despite being on a fairly busy avenue. I’m usually a light sleeper and Manila traffic can be relentless, but the windows do a decent job blocking street noise. During the day you’ll hear the usual urban sounds, but that’s just part of the Manila experience – and honestly, I’d rather be connected to the real city than isolated in some bubble. The whole setup works especially well if you’re staying more than just a night or two, or if you’re traveling with family and need that extra space to spread out. It’s not trying to be fancy in a flashy way, but it delivers on the practical stuff that actually matters when you’re navigating a busy city like Manila.

  What could be improved: Host was not easy to contact, he didn’t answered via booking massages, we arrived after 11pm, and called 3 times and few massages till he answered, if not local sim bought at airport it would be a problem. Communication should be better

  Property is neat and clean. Has everything you need inside the room. Staffs are very accommodating on my needs and helping me with luggage. Feeling bad seeing them carrying my luggage in the staircase knowing it is pretty heavy 🥹🥹 I really appreciate their hard work. Thank you again and God bless.

  What could be improved: It took us sometime to get a response from the host. I would like to suggest that the host should answer calls as soon as possible. Also, the paint of the ceiling needs to be retouched.
