Makati Palace Hotel Overview

You know what struck me first about Makati Palace Hotel? It’s tucked right there on P. Burgos Street where things get interesting after dark, but honestly, it manages to feel surprisingly calm once you’re inside. I mean, this four-star place has that solid, dependable vibe without trying too hard to be flashy – which actually works in its favor if you ask me.

The location is pretty smart when you think about it. You’re literally steps from some of the best local eats and bars that most tourists never find, plus Greenbelt and the whole Ayala scene is just a quick walk or jeepney ride away. I’ve stayed in Makati probably a dozen times now, and this spot hits that sweet spot where you feel connected to the real energy of the area without being right in the middle of the crazy traffic on Ayala Avenue. The rooms are… well, they’re comfortable and clean, though don’t expect cutting-edge design or anything. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night despite being on a fairly busy street – their windows actually do their job, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve crashed in Manila.

The staff here genuinely seems to care, which you notice in little ways – like how they remember your name after the first day, or how the front desk guys always have solid recommendations for getting around the city. Check-in was smooth both times I’ve been there, and they store luggage without making a big deal about it. The breakfast situation is decent Filipino comfort food plus some international basics, nothing fancy but it’ll fuel you up for exploring. Honestly, what sells me on this place is that it feels like a proper local hotel that happens to cater to travelers, rather than some sterile business hotel that could be anywhere in the world. If you’re looking to base yourself in Makati without dropping serious cash but still want reliable comfort and that authentic Manila energy right outside your door, this place delivers exactly what it promises.

Reviews of Makati Palace Hotel

  • 3 nights in Manila… low budget? Stay here. – Fernando from Italy – February 9, 2025 (7/10)

Awesome location for Makati night life, and business area and mall. The rooms are clean enough but really need to be renovated. Staff is kind and costumers oriented.

What could be improved: Choose carefully your room. Some rooms are really big and nice but really noisy.

  • Very professional and elegant staff, the personal of that place are working hard to maintain that place a Hotel – Adrian from Denmark – October 18, 2024 (7/10)

I like the determination and spirit of the staff. That staff really works hard as a team and you can feel and see on them that they are working and struggling hard to maintaining that place being as a professional hotel. They are taking care who enters in the hotel, they are aware if someone makes noise ( i was self getting observation that i should not make so big noise on the corridor/ and that kind of thing i like it and i respect it when someone go up to maintain a peacefully and quiet place for everybody. They take care about some small things but very important. I was checking in this hotel after i was leaving out and had a bad experience with another hotel across the street Makati Oxford Hotel because they didn’t make my room .
I like the architecture of the place, the paintings and the art in the hotel are very impressive, i love art, im a art collector and i really enjoy the art and the architecture of the place.
If hope they will maintain on this direction

What could be improved: Tv was horrible experience. I didn’t like that my first room i get i did have a problem with Television i need to run cartoons movie for my kid. After 5 -10 minutes of watching it was just simply hanging out. I was called the staff and they come and fixed….1 time…..2 time……3 time…..4 time and then got fired/frustrated/ angry and i requested to move another , then we moved to another room. I don’t understand why they give me a room with a defect TV cable and still come back and forward trying to “fix “ something what is broken anyway and seems like they did know about it .
The fitness gym it’s inexistent, I mean the fitness center you cannot call that place a gym or a fitness. No disks, no weights , just a few machines but no weights for training
