Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Mid-Century Extent Condo Unit @ Shore 2, MOA, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. But after spending a few nights there, I get it now. This four-star spot is basically like staying in someone’s really well-appointed apartment, except with hotel-level cleanliness and that prime location right on Sunrise Drive.

The thing about this place is that it’s not trying to be fancy in that over-the-top way some hotels do. It’s more like… well, mid-century modern done right. The unit I stayed in on the second floor had these clean lines and vintage-inspired furniture that actually felt authentic, not like some designer’s idea of retro. And you know what really sold me? The view. Being in Shore 2 Tower 2, you get this unobstructed sight line toward the bay area – honestly, I spent way too much time just standing by the window with my morning coffee. The MOA complex itself is pretty massive, so there’s always something happening, but the unit stays surprisingly quiet considering how central everything is.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve thought about the practical stuff. The kitchen setup is legit – I mean, you could actually cook a proper meal if you wanted to, not just reheat leftovers. The internet held up fine for work calls, and the AC kept things comfortable even during those sticky afternoon hours when Manila humidity really kicks in. Parking was straightforward too, which honestly can be a nightmare in this part of Pasay. The building management seems to have their act together – security was friendly but efficient, and I never had to wait around awkwardly during check-in. You’re also walking distance from SM Mall of Asia if you need anything, plus there are some decent local spots nearby that most tourists never discover. I found this little coffee place just two blocks over that serves better longganisa than most hotel breakfast buffets. The whole area has this interesting mix of business travelers and families, so it never felt too touristy or too sterile. It’s just… comfortable, I guess. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Seamless check-in. Staff at the lobby were helpful and cordial. I was provided with a flier by the concierge listing some of the standard policies of the property.
  Unit is tastefully decorated, no unnecessary clutter and it smelled clean.
  It's on the same floor as the the pool area where it also has a good walking path. One can relax on one of the multiple lounge chairs, undisturbed.
  Convenience stores, banks and restaurants are nearby.
  After a follow-up with the host, a thorough list of instructions were sent prior to check-in.
  
  What could be improved: It's beyond the host's control, but the noise from the planes passing overhead, especially past midnight until dawn– might be something to be considered if you're a light-sleeper. Also saw a few small roaches but it's always been an issue in properties built on reclamation lands like this one.

  The property is situated very close to the Mall of Asia, or MOA (about a 8 minute walk). The room has everything you could need, including a kettle and an iron and was very comfortable. We had two massive suitcases and still had plenty of room with these open on the floor beside the sofa. The host was very responsive and the place was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is right beside the pool which can make it a bit noisy, especially if you are trying to sleep in. Also, you need to request access to use the pool as you need to be registered. There is a small fee.
