Mountain View at Beacon Tower Overview

You know what surprised me most about Mountain View at Beacon Tower? It’s honestly one of those places where the name actually delivers on what it promises. I mean, I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels that claim mountain views and you end up staring at a construction crane, but this four-star spot in the heart of Makati really does give you those glimpses of distant peaks when the Manila smog clears up – which happens more often than you’d think, especially early morning.

The location on Amorsolo Street is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right in the business district but tucked away enough that you don’t get the full blast of EDSA traffic noise at night. I walked to Greenbelt mall in about eight minutes, and there’s this little Filipino breakfast place called Tapsilogan just around the corner that the hotel staff recommended – honestly better than the room service. The building itself shares space with offices, so the lobby can get a bit busy during weekday rush hours, but the elevator access is separate so it never felt chaotic. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend arriving after 2 PM because they seem to really stick to that timing.

What I really appreciated was how the rooms felt more like serviced apartments than typical hotel boxes. The kitchenette setup is perfect if you want to grab groceries from the Rustan’s nearby instead of eating out every meal – and trust me, your wallet will thank you in Manila. The air conditioning runs whisper-quiet, which matters when you’re trying to adjust to the time zone. I stayed on the fifteenth floor and could actually see slivers of Laguna de Bay on clear days, plus the city lights at night create this sort of golden carpet effect. The housekeeping staff were genuinely lovely too – they remembered I liked extra towels without me having to ask twice. My only minor gripe is that the Wi-Fi gets a bit sluggish during peak evening hours when everyone’s streaming, but it’s reliable enough for work calls during the day. For the price point and that 8.8 rating it’s earned, this place hits that sweet spot between business-friendly amenities and actual comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find in Makati’s hotel scene.

Best hotels in Manila range from luxurious high-rise properties in Makati business district to boutique hotels with stunning views of Manila Bay and the city’s impressive modern skyline.

Reviews of Mountain View at Beacon Tower

  • Good value for money, but be wary of the warmth – Nando from Netherlands – July 7, 2025 (8/10)

Everything you needed was there for a nice stay. Especially the shared pool was very nice to cool off from the hot weather (sometimes definitely needed)

What could be improved: The airconditioning only went as low as 26 celcius, which was still too hot 🥵

  • Nice apartment, amazing pool! – Francesca from United Kingdom – May 19, 2025 (8/10)

The apartment is in a very convenient position, it's nothing fancy but it works well for a couple of nights in Manila. Comfortable bed, nice shower. It was always very easy to communicate with the host, and having the 24h reception was definitely a plus since we checked in late at night. Plenty of restaurants and convenience shops around and easy to walk to various places. The highlight for us was the free access to the pool (until 10pm) which was really nice and made us want to stay again in the same building.

What could be improved: The room is decent but nothing too fancy, great if you're planning to spend most of the day out.

  • Exceptional – Erico from Brazil – April 19, 2025 (10/10)

Very clean, cozy and good located.

  • Overall, I am satisfied with the property. It met my expectations. The facilities are good, and it is easy to get a Grab – Ameerul from Malaysia – April 3, 2025 (10/10)

There is a slight odor coming from the shower drain.

  • Comfortable – Mercy from Philippines – March 9, 2025 (8/10)

Everything. If I would be honest the place isn’t big but it’s comfortable and clean. Ms Jen is also nice, easy to communicate with. I’ve got no bad thing to say 😊

  • Very Good – Levent from Turkey – February 1, 2025 (8/10)

    view

What could be improved: Air conditioner noise and insects

  • Great stay and amazing host! – Anna from Philippines – December 18, 2024 (10/10)

I had a great stay at this place! The bed is really comfy. The place was very clean, and the essential toiletries were provided. The host was also very quick to respond and made sure I had everything I needed. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-kept spot!

  • Cozy staycation in the city – Stephie from Philippines – November 29, 2024 (9/10)

The host was very responsive, kind & helpful. Thank you so much, Ms. Jen! 😊

The place is just as it is in the photos, what you see is what you get. It was clean & basic necessities were provided. Drinking water was provided as well which was really great! It's a cute cozy place. They even gave free amenities. Location was okay as well about 15-20 minute walk to Greenbelt.

What could be improved: We couldn't use Netflix which was frustrating because I was looking forward to do a movie marathon. ☹️ We cooked our own food during our stay. At the beginning, I had a difficult time figuring out how to use the induction stove but if you just search "how to turn on schott ceran induction cooktop" & watch the videos. You should be able to use it right away. 🙂

  • Exceptional – Wilna from Philippines – August 19, 2024 (10/10)

Very clean, aesthically relaxing place. It's complete with kitchen tools. Clean bathroom. With fresh towels, complimentary amenity kit, bottled water, fresh towels, coffee, biscuits, and even dishwashing paste. All you need is to enjoy the place, the pool, the wifi, and the TV.

Location was very convenient. There are 24/7 stores just outside the tower. And it's also near Japanese restaurants – just a 3-min walk.

Ms. Gen, the host, although we didn't meet personally, was very accommodating to my queries and ensured that we enjoyed our stay. Thanks Ms Gen!

What could be improved: None. All was great!

  • Sweet place – Raul from Cambodia – July 7, 2024 (10/10)

The bed was so comfy, I loved to have many pillows, the facilities on the kitchen were perfect. The view is fantastic to the mountain. The plastic plant it make feel less stressful. Everything was so good.

What could be improved: Long distance from the ground floor to the room, and just a crowded city, this is how it is Makati btw.
