I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Seda Vertis North, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a hotel tucked into this corner of Diliman. But walking into this five-star property, you immediately get why it’s become such a favorite for both business travelers and locals looking for a staycation upgrade. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that feels sophisticated without being stuffy, and honestly, the staff here just gets it – they’re attentive without hovering, which is harder to find than you’d think.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to create this bubble of calm right in the middle of Quezon City’s busiest district. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Vertis North complex with all its restaurants and shops, but the moment you’re back in your room, the soundproofing actually works. The rooms themselves are spacious by Manila standards – and trust me, that matters when you’re dealing with the typical cramped hotel boxes you find elsewhere in the metro. The beds are properly firm (none of that sinking-into-quicksand feeling), and they’ve got these floor-to-ceiling windows that give you decent views of the surrounding area. You know what I particularly appreciated? The bathroom setup – separate shower and tub, good water pressure, and they stock those little amenities that you actually want to use.

The location is pretty strategic if you think about it. You’re close enough to the Triangle area for easy access to Bonifacio Global City, but you avoid the worst of the Makati traffic chaos. Getting to and from NAIA isn’t terrible either, though you’ll still want to budget extra time during rush hours – that’s just Manila reality. The hotel restaurant does solid Filipino-international fusion, and while it’s not going to revolutionize your dining experience, it’s reliable and the portions are generous. I actually ended up eating there more than I planned because sometimes you just don’t want to deal with the hunt for parking elsewhere. Speaking of parking, they have it and it’s covered, which anyone who’s spent time in this city will tell you is not a given. The pool area is decent – nothing Instagram-spectacular, but it’s clean and gets good sun in the afternoons. With an 8.7 rating, this place has clearly figured out how to consistently deliver on the basics while adding those little touches that make a difference when you’re away from home.

Best to have CLEAR Guidance on Self-Help Thermostat Adjustment (to attain Desired Room Temperature in Celsius and EQUIVALENT Fahrenheit Units). Well, we know, Google always helps or Direct “0” Call could signal your Staff to rush in the Room to make Adjustments. (CAN WE TRULY SELF-MANIPULATE the Room’s Thermostat Control? Or did I simply miss it in favor of other THINGS TO THINK ABOUT?)

  What could be improved: Someone throttle down the bathroom sink tap to a dribble. Ended up shaving out of a cup with cold water. Eventually, a staff follow-up call asking questions clued me into what the problem might be, them I fixed it.

  This is my 5th time checked in at Seda Vertis North. Strategic location, friendly staff, and good rate with a delicious complimentary breakfast.
