Shabby Chic & Contemporary Condo Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about the Shabby Chic & Contemporary Condo? The name honestly had me expecting some kind of hipster disaster, but this place actually nails the whole eclectic vibe without trying too hard. I mean, when you’re staying this close to Mall of Asia Complex, you sort of brace yourself for generic hotel-land, but this four-star spot feels more like crashing at your coolest friend’s place – if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and a cleaning service.
The location is genuinely brilliant for anyone who wants to be in the thick of things without dealing with Manila‘s notorious traffic chaos. You’re literally walking distance from MOA (which locals just call it, by the way), so you can hit up those late-night food courts or catch a movie without the whole taxi negotiation dance. But here’s the thing – even though you’re right there in Pasay near all that commercial madness, the condo itself feels surprisingly peaceful. The soundproofing is actually decent, which matters more than you’d think when you’re this close to one of the Philippines’ busiest shopping areas. I stayed here during one of those weekend sales events when MOA turns into absolute bedlam, and I could barely hear any of it from my room.
What really sells me on this place is how they’ve managed to balance that shabby chic aesthetic without making it feel forced or Instagram-y. The furniture has character – some vintage pieces mixed with clean, modern lines – but everything actually works and feels comfortable. The beds are proper quality (none of that rock-hard mattress situation you sometimes get), and the bathrooms have this nice mix of rustic touches and modern fixtures that somehow just works. Plus, and this is crucial for Manila stays, the air conditioning is powerful and quiet. I’ve learned the hard way that tropical travel is all about the AC game. The rating of 9.6 makes total sense once you’re actually staying here – it’s those little details that add up, like having a proper workspace if you need to get stuff done, or the way the staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay smooth without being overly formal about it. They know the area well too, so you get actual local recommendations instead of the usual tourist trap suggestions.
Hotels near me in Manila offer convenient access to Rizal Park, where guests can easily walk to Intramuros historic district, Manila Cathedral, and authentic Filipino restaurants serving traditional cuisine.

Satisfied guest – Allan from Qatar – August 9, 2025 (10/10)
We always have to remember that booking.com is taking a commission from the owners of the property. Given the price that I paid for, it is reasonable. Manage your expectations against your willingness to spend.
The best for me is the bed. Not cheap spring type that will give you instant back pain in the morning. Close to mall, bank, public transportation and walking distance from Dampa sea side where you can enjoy fresh sea foods if you are in to it.
I believe that there is always room for improvement. I am certain that the owner will continue to provide extended service for your convenience and improve its facilities in the future.
God bless
What could be improved: NoneWonderful – Einna from Philippines – June 15, 2025 (9/10)
The place is accessible to restaurants and amusement parks. Walking distance to MOA accessible to transportation also. The unit is clean and our stay was comfortable, indeed a home away from home.
What could be improved: Lacking of adaptors for chargers or for washing machine but we were able to managed it and find ways.Wonderful – Sem from Philippines – May 23, 2025 (9/10)
