I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Amazing view Makati Elegant flat 400MB internet, I thought it was trying a bit too hard. But you know what? Sometimes places with overly descriptive names actually deliver, and this four-star spot really does live up to the hype, especially that view part.

The location in Malugay is actually pretty smart if you know Makati at all. You’re close enough to all the business district action – I mean, you can literally see the Ayala skyline from the windows – but you’re tucked away from the worst of the traffic chaos. The SMDC Air Residences building itself is one of those newer developments that feels more like where locals actually live rather than a touristy bubble, which I really appreciate. The lobby’s got that clean, modern Filipino aesthetic without being too flashy, and honestly, the elevators are fast enough that you won’t be standing there forever with your luggage.

What really got me was stepping into the unit and seeing that view they keep talking about. The floor-to-ceiling windows face west, so if you’re there during sunset (and trust me, try to be), the whole city just lights up in front of you. I spent way too much time just sitting there with coffee watching the buildings change color. The internet situation is legit too – that 400MB they promise actually works, which is rare enough in Manila that it’s worth mentioning. I was video calling family back home with zero lag, and you know how these things usually go in hotel wifi situations. The flat itself feels more like staying in someone’s actual apartment than a sterile hotel room. The kitchen‘s fully equipped if you want to grab groceries from the nearby SM Makati (about a 10-minute walk), and there’s this nice dining area where you can spread out your work or just eat takeout while staring at the city.

The neighborhood’s got character too – there are these little local spots mixed in with the fancier establishments, so you can grab authentic Filipino breakfast for practically nothing, then walk five minutes and be in some upscale mall. Getting around is pretty straightforward; jeepneys and grab cars know exactly where SMDC Air Residences is, and if you’re headed to BGC or other Makati spots, you’re really well positioned. I will say the area can get a bit noisy during rush hours – Manila traffic comes with Manila sounds – but by evening it settles down, and the higher floor location helps buffer most of it. Overall, it’s one of those places that works whether you’re here for business or just want a comfortable base to explore the city from, and that view really doesn’t get old.

  Really amazing view, from 58th floor. The host also responded promptly. The caretaker lives just a few door away on the same floor, and did come quickly, when I encountered some problem with the toilet. Definitely will come back.

  This is the very first time I stayed in a condo instead of a hotel I was a bit skeptical but it was tremendous value this unit on the 58th floor had an amazing view as you would expect. It was spotless when I arrived self check in with a breeze I was sent the the numbers for the key lock through email or Whatsapp rather and when I arrived it was perfect. I will definitely use this property again I like the fact it's got a basic little kitchen area but I did quite a bit of cooking there. It's got a washing machine that I didn't use but it's there if someone needs it. Coffee and tea were provided. The TV is either a 50 inch or a 55 inch and it was great it's a smart TV but I didn't use the facilities of the TV other than to plug my fire stick into the HDMI port so I could watch my favorite channels from back home. The internet was flawless most of the time getting over 350 megabit which is almost unheard of for the Philippines or a lot of other areas anyway. And whenever I had a question I would send the message and I would get a reply back almost instantaneous which is important to me. I recommend this property highly. They advertise a mall on the first floor but basically it's a grocery store that has everything you could need and 10 or 12 eating establishments and there's a pharmacy down there so not really a mall. The grocery store comes in very handy and you can access it from the building so you don't have to leave.
  
  What could be improved: There were a couple of things but it really had nothing to do with the room. There's almost 4,000 units in the building beautiful building they advertise 12 high-speed elevators but they never had more than four operating and in some cases only two. The elevators Since There were so few operating could take 10 to 15 minutes to get where you're going. Like I say this had nothing to do with the condo owner they have little they can do about it. The other thing that was a little bit off-putting was when I did arrive to check in there were three or four people ahead of me which is fine. The problem was the person that was working on the computer must not have known exactly what he was doing because he had three of the security guards trying to show him what to do. And they handle it all on a little Lenovo ThinkPad I would think they'd have a little bigger more powerful setup to make things a lot easier in a building of this stature. Like I say the condo owner can't do anything about this but I wanted to bring it up. More importantly it will never keep me from coming back I will definitely use the property again
