Celandine Residence in Quezon City Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Celandine Residence in Quezon City, you immediately get that feeling of stepping into something special — but not in an intimidating way. This four-star property sits inside a DMCI Homes development, which honestly gives it this polished, residential vibe that’s way more relaxing than your typical hotel lobby chaos. The building itself has that modern Filipino architecture thing going on, and you can tell they put thought into making guests feel like they’re staying somewhere that actually matters to locals.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about the location on A. Bonifacio Avenue in Barangasa — you’re properly in Quezon City without being stuck in the absolute madness of the main tourist strips. The area has this authentic Manila energy where you’ll see actual families going about their day, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. Recent guests rated the location 9.3 out of 10, and honestly, I get it. You’ve got local eateries within walking distance, and the transport connections are solid if you want to explore other parts of Metro Manila.
Your Space
The room setup here is what really sets this place apart from standard hotels. These are proper apartment-style accommodations with enough space to actually unpack and settle in — I mean, you’re not living out of a suitcase for your entire stay. The interiors have that clean, contemporary Filipino design aesthetic, and the windows are generous enough that you get decent natural light throughout the day. What struck me most was how quiet everything stays, even though you’re in the middle of a bustling city.
Practical Perks
You know what’s actually useful? They have parking right on site, which anyone who’s driven in Metro Manila will tell you is basically gold. No circling blocks looking for a spot or paying ridiculous fees at some sketchy lot three streets away. The building amenities feel like they’re designed for people who might stay longer than just a night or two — there’s a pool area that’s perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring the city heat, and the whole setup just feels more residential than hotel-corporate.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.8 guest rating makes total sense when you experience how this place operates day to day. Couples particularly seem to appreciate the privacy and space you get here — it’s intimate without being cramped, and there’s something about staying in an actual residential building that makes the whole experience feel more authentic. The staff knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the tourist handbook stuff. Plus, the value proposition is solid — you’re getting apartment-style comfort with hotel-level service, which is honestly the sweet spot for exploring Manila properly.

Het uitzicht en de manager was zeer vriendelijk.
What could be improved: Nou ik wilde donderdag gaan zwemmen en toen werd wekelijks het zwembad gereinigd, dat kan. Staat nergens aangegeven trouwens…
Great stay for a family. – Christina from United States – October 24, 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: NoneVery comfortable stay – Naepril from United Kingdom – August 19, 2023 (10/10)
Property was very clean. Small but functional, owner have thought about and provided for small things like drinking water, slippers, guest pack with toothbrush and comb, etc which was very helpful especially for last minute staycation like ours. There were also towels provided which was very helpful.
Not included in the pictures were the 2 airconditioned bedrooms, 1 with queen bed + pull-out and the other room with single bunk beds with pull-out. I was hesitant to book at first as there were no pictures of the beds but I can assure gueests both bedrooms were clean and comfortable. There was also washing machine if you have to do your laundry.
What could be improved: Nothing, this is the first time a liked a property in Manila, and I stayed in quiet a few.
