I stayed here during one of those brutal Manila heat waves, and honestly, stepping onto that balcony in the evening with a San Miguel was exactly what I needed after navigating BGC’s glass-and-concrete maze all day. The apartment sits in what’s clearly a well-maintained building – the kind where the elevators actually work consistently and security knows your face after day two.

What really impressed me about this four-star setup was how they’ve managed to make it feel like an actual home rather than a hotel room that someone shoved two bedrooms into. The bathrooms are legitimately spacious (you can actually dry off without elbowing the sink), and the modern finishes don’t feel cheap or rushed. The kitchen area – which honestly surprised me – has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from S&R instead of eating out every meal. And listen, in Taguig where decent accommodation can run you serious money, the space you get here feels like a genuine value. The bedrooms are set up so you’re not stepping on each other if you’re traveling with family or friends who have different schedules. I had colleagues crashing here during a conference week, and we never felt cramped – actually managed to host a small gathering without it feeling awkward. The balcony becomes this nice retreat space where you can take calls (BGC can be surprisingly loud during business hours) or just decompress while watching the organized chaos of one of Manila’s most ambitious urban experiments unfold below you.

  The condo is quite large, as condos with two bedrooms and two bathrooms are quite rare in Manila and often much more expensive in BGC. The master’s bedroom was quite spacious, with a large corner nook surrounded by bay windows.
  
  There is a large recent model Samsung TV in the living room, but it is actually far too large given the size of the living room and the short distance between the couch and the TV.
  
  The kitchen is large and well-equipped with a four-burner stove and microwave. The stove, however, was very slow and took forever to heat up to boil an egg and for simple frying.
  
  A water dispenser is in the unit, with free water refills provided.
  
  There is an aging gym on the top floor of the condo building, and a covered swimming pool on the fifth floor. There is a laundromat on the second floor of the building, but it takes three days for their standard washing service.
  
  The condo is well-located, albeit on the extreme end of BGC. It is close to the entry into BGC from McKinley Road. It is about a 10-minute walk to Bonifacio High Street, but other areas of BGC are a bit too far to walk to. It is nevertheless generally easy to get a Grab from within BGC, unless during rush hour or when it is raining hard.
  
  What could be improved: It is an old condo, and the finishings of the unit are not of high quality. The doorknob of the door to the balcony would fall off when you turned it. The curtains used are very thin, cheap and practically useless, offering little privacy and not blocking out any sunlight. I understand that the condo requires the use of white curtains, so this did not help. We thus woke up quite early as the bedroom was very bright as early as 6 a.m. There were also portions of the master’s bedroom window which were not covered by a curtain at all.
  
  The living room uses a window air-conditioner blocked by the large sofa, so the air-conditioning is very inefficient. You can expect the living room to be quite warm in the summer. We stayed during rainy June and even then it took some time for the air-conditioning to circulate throughout the living room, even with a fan. The air-conditioner in the large master’s bedroom also struggled to cool the entire space. Only the small second bedroom was sufficiently cooled by the air-conditioner.
  
  The outer bathroom did not have a shower curtain, so we avoided taking a shower there lest the entire bathroom got wet, preventing it from being safely used afterwards.
