I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Citadines Bay City Manila, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a serviced apartment hotel along the reclaimed area of Manila Bay. But stepping into this four-star property on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, I was genuinely surprised by how well they’ve executed the concept. The building itself feels modern without being sterile, and you know what really struck me? The lobby actually has personality – there’s this warm, residential vibe that makes you feel like you’re entering someone’s well-designed home rather than just another corporate hotel.

The location is honestly pretty brilliant if you think about it. Sure, it’s technically in Pasay, but you’re right at the intersection of Coral Way where everything connects – SM Mall of Asia is literally a short walk away (I mean, you can see it from some of the upper floor windows), and getting to Ninoy Aquino International Airport takes maybe fifteen minutes on a good traffic day. What I really appreciate is that despite being so close to all the action, the noise level inside is surprisingly manageable. The rooms themselves are spacious in that distinctly serviced apartment way – you’ve got a proper kitchenette with actual counter space, which is a godsend if you’re staying more than a few days or traveling with kids who need familiar snacks. The bed situation is solid too; I’m pretty picky about mattress firmness and theirs hits that sweet spot where you don’t feel like you’re sinking into quicksand.

Here’s the thing that really sets this place apart though – the staff genuinely seems to get that most guests are either here for extended business stays or family trips that need more than just a basic hotel room. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and when I mentioned I was looking for good local breakfast spots beyond the hotel restaurant, the front desk person actually sketched out a little map with three different options depending on my mood. The pool area up top gives you decent bay views, especially during sunset hours, and while it’s not huge, it’s perfect for a quick swim to reset after a long day of meetings or sightseeing. Parking is included and actually convenient – not one of those situations where you’re circling for twenty minutes. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I needed the extra space and kitchen facilities. It’s one of those places that just works without making a big fuss about itself.

  The staff were very nice and accommodating. The room attendants were very concerned with the individual needs of each room – enough drinking water, towels, etc.
  
  What could be improved: My door was not in proper order when I got in – I needed to ask the front desk's assistance. Also, the dining staff kept on asking me if my breakfast was included with my room reservation. Please properly coordinate.

  The staff here are always welcoming and so helpful with everything.
  Breakfast is good value for money especially considering that other hotels in Manila charge a lot more for the same.
  Location is good, only a 10 minute walk to the waterfront, and from there it is nice walk along to MOA, Mall of Asia which has all of what you need in way of shopping and restaurants.
  Citadines is only 10 or 15 minutes drive from the airport via the Expressway depending on traffic.
  I always choose to come back to Citadines, Bay City, Coral Way.
  It is also convenient for shopping at the adjoining W Mall.

  The room was spacious, clean and we like that we have everything in the room; ie: kitchen, washer along with all the amenities. When we had concerned, it was taken cared right away. Location is convenient as well. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. From the front entrance up to the folks at the check in. We couldn't ask for more as they were always polite and willing to help in all your inquiries.
  That's why if I ever had to book again I will go back to Citadines. Butch? the one in the counter was very very friendly. Asking if we needed anything, even booking our grab. James went above & beyond in helping us. I needed a weighing scale only, he offered to finished packing our box, including taping it & putting the rope. The gentleman in the front (I'm so sorry that I forgot his name. He wears a black uniform. But he was always there the entire time we were there) he was always helping us. Every time we get out from our taxi, he made sure we didn't forget anything inside. And I want to commend him for his outstanding service.
  Room service is on par. Always providing all the amenities that we needed.
  
  What could be improved: Breakfast buffet, we tried it twice, I might say it needs a little improvement as we can compare it to the other hotels that we had checked in.
