Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about StayHere The Florence Luxe 1BR Near Venice Mall, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But after spending a few nights there, I get why they mention Venice Mall right in the title. You’re literally a stone’s throw from one of the biggest shopping centers in Taguig, which honestly makes life so much easier when you need anything from groceries to last-minute gifts.

The apartment itself is tucked into The Florence complex on Florence Way, and what struck me first was how quiet it actually is despite being so close to everything. I mean, you’d think with Venice Mall right there you’d hear constant traffic, but the tower placement is pretty smart – you get the convenience without the chaos. The one-bedroom setup feels way more spacious than typical hotel rooms, and there’s something nice about having a proper kitchen counter where you can spread out your stuff instead of living out of a suitcase on a luggage rack. The four-star rating feels about right; it’s definitely polished and comfortable, though don’t expect over-the-top luxury touches.

What I really appreciated was the local knowledge you pick up just by staying there. The security guards are super helpful about which jeepney routes to take, and there’s this little coffee shop on the ground floor of the mall that opens at 6 AM – perfect for early flights. Actually, speaking of flights, NAIA isn’t too brutal from here if you time it right, though rush hour traffic is still rush hour traffic, you know? The BGC area is walkable from the complex too, so you can easily hit up all those rooftop bars and restaurants without dealing with Grab surge pricing. One small thing – the wifi can get a bit spotty during heavy rain (which, let’s face it, happens a lot), but it’s reliable enough for work calls and streaming. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I needed to do any serious shopping or wanted easy access to both the business district and the airport without paying those insane hotel rates in the heart of BGC.

  My sister and I needed accommodations as we were attending the weeklong services for the death of our grandmother in another part of the city. The property was very clean, we found the property to be secure and the staff was very friendly.
  
  What could be improved: Although the property had a large dining table that could accommodate 6, we weren't able to have more than 3 (including ourselves) people in the rental at any given time. We wanted to have dinner with our parents and aunties, 6 people in total including ourselves in the rental. We even prepared food and had everything waiting only to have our parents and aunties be held downstairs in the lobby. I know the agreement says the apartment can't accommodate more than 3 people including the renters, we just assumed that meant overnight, not at all times when there's a dining table with 6 chairs and enough dishes and cutlery to accommodate more than 6 people.
  The hot water heater kept tripping the breaker so we had to take cold showers the first 5 days before we realized this was the case, it might be helpful to connect this to a GFCI so that the renter doesn't have to walk all the way out to the circuit breaker panel during their shower to reset the breaker. Also the GFCI outlet next to the sink in the bathroom didn't work the entire time despite multiple attempts to reset the breaker on the circuit breaker panel.
  It might also be helpful for any perspective renters if you have 3 different receptacles (maybe under the sink) for separation of recyclables, biodegradables and rubbish. There was only one very small trash can in the kitchen so we bought garbage bags across the street at the grocery store to separate them and kept them under the sink until we went down to dispose of them accordingly. Some countries do not separate their trash/recyclables so this would be helpful for those who are from other countries to know this is what is expected in BGC.
  Other than those three things our stay was all together pleasant, the property itself was nice, clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.
