Citadines Benavidez Makati Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Citadines Benavidez Makati, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a serviced apartment setup in this part of the city. But after spending time there, I actually think it’s one of those places that gets the balance just right between hotel comfort and having your own space.

The location on Benavidez Street is what really sold me on this place. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Greenbelt (which, let’s face it, is where you’ll probably end up shopping anyway), and the whole Ayala area is right there without being in the thick of all that Makati Avenue chaos. I mean, you can hear the city humming around you, but it’s not that overwhelming traffic noise that keeps you up at night. The building itself has this clean, modern look that fits right into the Makati business district vibe – nothing too flashy, just solid and well-maintained.

What I really appreciate about this four-star property is how they’ve thought about the details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The apartments – and they really do feel like apartments, not hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in – have proper cooking facilities, which is huge when you want to grab groceries from the nearby markets instead of eating out every meal. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places can’t tell you where to find a decent local restaurant that’s not in a mall. Check-in was straightforward, none of that overly formal hotel ceremony that can feel awkward when you’re carrying groceries and clearly planning to settle in for a while. The gym is smaller than what you’d find at the big international chains, but it’s got the essentials and it’s rarely crowded – I think a lot of guests don’t even realize it’s there. One thing that caught me off guard in a good way was how quiet the elevators are; sounds silly, but when you’re coming and going at odd hours, it matters. The whole place has this residential feel that makes it easy to forget you’re technically staying at a hotel, which I think is exactly what they’re going for with the serviced apartment concept.

To book hotel in Manila during the vibrant Sinulog Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as this bustling capital attracts cultural enthusiasts and business travelers from across Southeast Asia.

  • Excellent place to stay! – Shauna from Fiji – August 21, 2025 (10/10)

Great and central location. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfy! Managed to get a massage in the room booked through front desk.

What could be improved: Convenient getting a massage in the room but would've been more ideal in a separate spa room in the building or something of the sort..especially when you're booking for a couple's massage. 2 massage therapists and the 2 of you on one bed is a little weird lol Otherwise, massage and everything else was great. Better yet, have them bring a portable massage bed to the room.

  • Exceptional – Jack from United Kingdom – August 13, 2025 (10/10)

    – good location on a quiet street. Walking distance to several malls. 20mins from airport (via the Skyway and without too much traffic). It's a little far from the main tourist sites like Intramuros and Chinatown.
    – the staff were very helpful and friendly. They helped us with our luggage when we arrived and when we left.
    – our room was slightly smaller than we expected but not a big deal. It was absolutely fine for our needs. It had a sofa, table, kitchen, big fridge, chairs, and a nice view of the city.
    – the breakfast was not a buffet but the menu still had a side selection.
    – we made use of the rooftop pool and gym in the morning. The gym was also on the smaller side, but we're glad that at least they have one.

What could be improved: Nothing really

  • Will definitely come back – Sheena from Philippines – August 12, 2025 (9/10)

There was also a good view. The breakfast option was also good!
