City of Dreams – Nobu Hotel Manila Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard about City of Dreams – Nobu Hotel Manila, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The location along Asean Avenue near Roxas Boulevard in Parañaque had me wondering if it would feel too removed from the Manila action, but honestly? That turned out to be one of its biggest advantages. You’re literally inside the City of Dreams complex, which means you’ve got the casino, restaurants, and entertainment right there if that’s your thing, but you can also easily escape to quieter Manila Bay when you need to breathe.

The five-star experience here really shows – and I mean that in the best way possible. Walking into the lobby, you immediately get that Nobu aesthetic: clean lines, natural materials, that sort of zen-meets-luxury vibe they do so well. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to make it feel distinctly Filipino without being cheesy about it. The staff actually remembers your name after day one (not just the front desk – I’m talking about the housekeeping team, the restaurant servers). The rooms themselves are gorgeous, with floor-to-ceiling windows that give you either city or bay views. Pro tip: if you can swing it, get a bay-facing room on a higher floor – watching the sunset over Manila Bay from your bed is pretty spectacular.

You know what really sets this place apart though? The food scene. Obviously there’s the Nobu restaurant downstairs, which lives up to the hype, but the breakfast spread is where they really shine. It’s this perfect mix of international options and Filipino favorites – proper longsilog alongside made-to-order eggs Benedict. The pool area gets busy during weekends (lots of local families come for day passes), but weekday afternoons are absolutely perfect for lounging. One thing to note: the complex can get quite loud during major events or holiday weekends, especially if your room faces the entertainment areas. It’s not terrible, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs. The spa is worth every peso if you’re feeling indulgent – they use local ingredients in some treatments, and the therapists actually know what they’re doing. Getting around from here is easier than you’d think too; there are shuttle services to major malls, and grabbing a taxi or Grab to Makati or BGC is pretty straightforward, though traffic can be brutal during rush hours like anywhere else in Metro Manila.

  • I will definitely come back here again. – Ariel from Australia – May 24, 2025 (8/10)

The lunch I had inside the room was perfectly presented and the food tastes nice.

What could be improved: The first room (rm5517) they gave me wreaks of efficascent oil and it triggered my sinusitis and I got sick. I made a complain the following day and they changed my room to 8817. But next time I'll ask for a floor with no kids as this kids where like screaming in the hallway everytime

The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable.

What could be improved: Included breakfast was of poor quality. The buffet at Hyatt Regency was limited with choices and hardly replenished. The restaurant offering a la carte menu only allowed to order one dish of food and one drink only! Better to dine outside!
