Okada Manila Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Okada Manila? The sheer scale of this place – and I mean that in the best possible way. Walking into this five-star resort feels like stepping into some futuristic wonderland right there on New Seaside Drive in Parañaque. I’ll be honest, when I first heard about it, I figured it was just another casino hotel trying too hard to be fancy, but actually staying there completely changed my perspective.

The location is pretty brilliant if you think about it – you’re technically in Manila but far enough from the chaos of Makati or BGC that you can actually breathe. The bay views from the upper floors are genuinely stunning, especially during sunset when the whole Manila Bay lights up. What I really appreciated was how they designed the pools (plural, because there are several) – the main infinity pool area feels like you’re floating above the city. The water’s always the perfect temperature, and honestly, I spent way more time there than I planned. The resort also has this massive fountain show that happens every evening – sounds touristy, I know, but it’s actually pretty mesmerizing when you’re sipping a drink nearby.

Here’s what nobody tells you though: the food scene here is legitimately impressive. I mean, you expect decent restaurants in a place like this, but they’ve got everything from incredible Japanese teppanyaki to this Filipino restaurant that does modern takes on classic dishes without losing the soul of the food. Room service is quick too – got my late-night cravings sorted in about 20 minutes. The rooms themselves are spacious (those marble bathrooms are something else), and the beds are perfectly firm. My only minor complaint? The air conditioning can be a bit aggressive, so you might want to adjust it right when you check in. Traffic getting there from NAIA isn’t too bad either – about 15 minutes on a good day, maybe 30 during rush hour. The staff genuinely seems happy to help with anything, which you don’t always get at these big resorts. If you’re planning to explore beyond the resort, grabbing a taxi to places like MOA or even Makati is pretty straightforward from here. I’d definitely come back, especially if I wanted that luxury resort experience without dealing with the usual Manila hustle.

What are the best hotels I ever stayed in?

What could be improved: Can I complain about anything?

  • Exceptional – Marites from Philippines – September 11, 2025 (10/10)

What I love about this Okada is that everything feels perfect. Yes, you pay a lot, but it’s absolutely worth it—the experience itself is what truly matters.

The buffet breakfast was one of my favorites. Since we came from the United States, I really missed Filipino food. I enjoyed the garlic with dilis, bangus, palitaw, fresh fruits, and juices. My daughter especially loved the taho. There’s such a wide variety of food to choose from!

The room was also amazing—spacious, luxurious, and the bathtub made me feel like I was living in true luxury. The King Deluxe was definitely worth it. The swimming pool was another highlight, and one of the staff even kindly helped us take some beautiful photos.

The service was outstanding—every staff member was so kind, helpful, and attentive. It truly felt like a six-star experience.

What could be improved: Price too high

  • Okada Resort experienced – Arnel from United Kingdom – September 8, 2025 (10/10)

The room, the water fountain, the facilities, shops, and the buffet breakfast are brilliant & amazing

What could be improved: The casino staff who unpolitely caution us for having a family photos which i'm not aware was not allowed when i"ve stayed & been to different Las Vegas casino like Bellagio, Caesar Palace, MGM, Aria, Mandalay, Fontainebleau, etc. to name a few and none has personal phone banned in the casinos and even staff cheerfully smile or even offer to take our photos…. hopefully this guy/staff should be train to respectfully & etiquettely/properly approach hotel guest with manners about their casino policy. Good thing other staff like Claire & Carmela of the resort reception dept. gave us a good c.s. experienced reason i still handed this hotel my highest perfect 10.
