Coast of Finland: Stunning Manila Bay & Sunset Overview
I’ll be honest, when I first heard the name Coast of Finland: Stunning Manila Bay & Sunset, I was a bit confused – what does Finland have to do with Manila? But you know what, after staying here, I actually get it. There’s something almost Nordic in the clean, minimalist design of this place, even though you’re right in the heart of Pasay overlooking one of the most tropical bays you’ll ever see. This four-star property sits in the Coast Residences complex, and I mean, the location is honestly perfect if you want to catch those legendary Manila Bay sunsets without dealing with the chaos of Roxas Boulevard.
The thing that really struck me – and I’ve stayed at a lot of places around this area – is how they’ve managed to create this calm bubble despite being so close to NAIA. You can actually hear planes occasionally, but it’s not disruptive, more like a gentle reminder of the world outside. The bay views are genuinely spectacular, especially from the higher floors, and during golden hour? Forget about it. I spent way too many evenings just sitting by the window with a coffee, watching the light change over the water. The rooms themselves feel more spacious than typical Manila accommodations, with these floor-to-ceiling windows that make you feel like you’re floating above the bay. The beds are surprisingly comfortable – I’m picky about mattresses – and the air conditioning actually works efficiently, which honestly isn’t always a given in this climate.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to understand that travelers want practical information, not just polite smiles. They’ll tell you the best times to grab a taxi (avoid 4-6 PM), where to find decent late-night food nearby (there’s this little carinderia tucked behind the 7-Eleven that locals love), and which jeepney routes actually make sense if you’re feeling adventurous. The building’s security is tight but not intimidating, and check-in was refreshingly smooth – no endless forms or confusing key card explanations. I also loved that they don’t blast music in the lobby; there’s this understated atmosphere that feels more residential than hotel-y. The pool area gets busy on weekends with local families, but during weekdays it’s practically empty, perfect for a quiet swim while watching cargo ships drift across the bay. Sure, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll find in Manila, but there’s something genuinely relaxing about this spot that keeps drawing me back whenever I’m in the area.

What could be improved: Altanen och utsikten är fint men vi använder inte eftersom det nära på gatan. Det mycket ljud men allt är ok utan att sitta altanen.its okay but not as expected. maybe good for sleeping but not for a long stay. – Joshua from United Kingdom – June 20, 2025 (4/10)
location is accessible
What could be improved: no free parking for guests, different rate for hours and overnight stay so had to pay a different rate to the host for parking. The room was dusty and stinky especially under the sink. had to ask permission for everything that means contacting your host then go up and down from your unit to reception to show screenshots which I think is a bit inconvenient. one room doesn't have airconditioning.Pleasant – Adrian from Taiwan – May 29, 2025 (6/10)
Very Good – Ian from United Kingdom – May 12, 2025 (8/10)
Stayed 1-3 April 2025. The view from the balcony is amazing. The apartment has everything you need. The condominium staff are rather glum but the cleaner of our apartment was first class. Overall a comfortable safe and clean place to stay.
What could be improved: The condominium staff were very glum. They all looked totally bored. We had to pay to use the pool. The surrounding area is a bit scruffy though the little barrio round the corner was really amazing and full of life.Good – Hashim from Saudi Arabia – April 25, 2025 (7/10)

What could be improved: NoneBest staycation, Fantastic view and complete facilities. Highly recommended. – Maimaigolez from Philippines – January 3, 2025 (10/10)
This is so far the best staycation we have been to! Place is more than enough for our family of 6. Complete necessities in the kitchen and bathroom. Living area and 2 of 3 bedrooms have airconditioning. Glad that they have 2 bathrooms with hot water. The fantastic view of Manila Bay from the spacious balcony is a major plus! Elevator was fast. Check-in was easy. The caretaker is kind and very responsive. We also enjoyed swimming at the pools at the 7th flr. It's clean, nice view and not crowded. I would highly recommend this listing. We will definitely book this again in the future.
What could be improved: Towels and blankets are good for only 4 person although i have informed them we were 6. I requested the caretaker for 2 more sets but since it's holiday, it's hard to book a rider according to her. Would be much better if they have 6 chairs in the dining area. Anyway, we just used the 2 outdoor chairs in the balcony. Also, guests would highly appreciate it if they'll have kitchen towels for hand and for cleaning the table and kitchen counter. Nevertheless, these are just minor. We still love our stay here. Thanks 😊 for your kind – Abdulla from United Arab Emirates – July 28, 2024 (10/10)
