The whole four-star thing becomes clear the moment you walk into the lobby. It’s got this clean, almost minimalist vibe that’s refreshing after dealing with Manila’s sensory overload outside. The staff actually remembers your name by day two, which is something you don’t always get at the bigger chain hotels around here. What I really appreciated was how they handle the practical stuff – the elevators are fast (trust me, this matters when you’re on the 20th floor), and the rooms have these massive windows that give you a real sense of the city sprawling out below. The air conditioning works like it should, which honestly is half the battle in this climate.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re here – you’re positioned perfectly for both business and leisure without being stuck in tourist trap central. I could walk to decent local restaurants that aren’t marked up for foreigners, and when friends wanted to meet up in Manila proper, it wasn’t this huge production to get there. The neighborhood actually quiets down at night, which was a pleasant surprise. I’ve stayed at places near EDSA where the traffic noise never stops, but Coast Residences sits just far enough back that you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open. The building itself feels solid and well-maintained – you know how some places in the city have that slightly worn-around-the-edges feeling? This doesn’t. The amenities work the way they’re supposed to (the pool area is small but clean, and the gym has equipment that’s actually functional), and there’s something to be said for a place where the WiFi doesn’t cut out every time it rains. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that makes your stay smooth rather than something you’re constantly managing around.

  Nice view over Manila Bay. The room was modern equipped with all things, that were neede. Wifi worked well

  Great location and the staff was helpful and nice. The apartment is good, and has all you need for a pleasant stay. It is exactly like the pictures.

  What could be improved: The washing machine would flood the bathroom and sometimes it would overflow. It is not allowed to put the washed clothes out on the balcony to dry.
  There were a few cockroaches in the apartment.
