I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Cozy 1BR at Shore 2 with balcony on Seaside Boulevard, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a typical apartment building in Pasay. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you, and this four-star spot definitely did that.

The location is actually pretty clever if you think about it. Sure, you’re not right in the heart of Manila, but being in Pasay puts you closer to the airport (which honestly saved me about an hour of traffic stress), and you’re still just a quick ride to all the main attractions. The building itself sits on a quieter stretch of Seaside Boulevard – I mean, it’s still Manila so there’s always some city hum, but it’s not the constant honking chaos you get in other areas. What really sold me though was stepping onto that balcony for the first time. The view isn’t going to make it onto any postcards, but there’s something nice about having your own little outdoor space where you can actually breathe and watch the neighborhood come alive in the mornings.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel room, which I actually prefer these days. The bedroom is legitimately cozy – not “cozy” in that real estate way where they mean tiny, but actually comfortable with decent natural light and enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The kitchen setup is pretty functional too, which came in handy since I got tired of restaurant food after a few days and wanted to grab some fresh ingredients from the local markets. Speaking of which, there’s this great little spot about two blocks down where the vendors know their regulars – they started recognizing me after just a couple visits. The building’s elevator can be a bit slow during peak hours (I learned to take the stairs to the third floor), but the staff is genuinely helpful when you need something, not just politely dismissive like some places. With an 8.2 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and I think it comes down to those little details that make you feel settled rather than just passing through. If you’re the type who values having your own space over fancy lobby marble and don’t mind being a bit outside the tourist bubble, this place actually makes a lot of sense.
