But after spending time in this four-star spot on Mayflower Street, I actually get why they went with such a straightforward description. Sometimes the name says it all, and this place delivers exactly what it promises.

The location in Manila is what really sold me on this condo. Mayflower Street isn’t one of those crazy busy thoroughfares that’ll keep you up all night, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. I mean, you can actually walk to decent restaurants without feeling like you’re trekking across the entire city – which, let’s face it, is pretty rare in Manila’s sprawling layout. The building itself has that newer feel to it, and honestly, after staying in some of the older hotels around the area, the clean lines and modern elevator system were refreshing. The balcony they mention? It’s not huge, but it’s genuinely nice to step out there in the morning with coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up below.

What impressed me most was how thoughtfully set up the one-bedroom unit actually is. The kitchen has everything you’d need if you want to grab groceries from one of the nearby markets and cook something simple – and trust me, after a few days of restaurant meals, having that option feels like a luxury. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel-bed backache, and the air conditioning works properly, which is non-negotiable in Manila’s climate. I also appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with busy patterns or weird artwork – sometimes simple is better. The bathroom has good water pressure too, which sounds like a small thing until you’re dealing with a trickling showerhead somewhere else. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend confirming your arrival time in advance since it’s not a traditional hotel setup. The 9.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be flashy but gets the important stuff right, and that’s honestly what I want when I’m staying somewhere for more than just a night or two.

  The apartment was compact with all essentials. Comfy bed. The host even provided fresh fruit and water as a welcome gift upon check in.
  
  What could be improved: The house keeper forgot to add a toilet roll and turning on the hot water for the shower wasn't obvious but the host was reponsive. She told me where the spare toilet paper was and gave me instructions on how to operate the hot water so in the end it wasn't a big deal. When someone books, it might be a good idea to send them written instructions on how to operate the shower or provide these instructions in the bathroom.

  The unit has almost everything that you need. I've stayed for 2 weeks and everything was very handy. Check in was smooth and the host was very responsive and helpful. Malls, restaurants and transportation are accessible. Overall, I've enjoyed my stay in this unit.

  I really enjoyed my stay in the unit. They even allow me to check in early without additional payment. The owner of the unit and Ms. Cristina is superb, they are very responsive. The room was so clean. They even provide free bottle water and fruits. The room was so beautiful and peaceful. It made my special day extra special and i can definitely say that "i love myself" in there unit. I will definitely stay again here.

  I really enjoyed my stay here. It is very clean and everything is thought out to the smallest detail. There is a stove, rice cooker, microwave and all necessary utensils. The bathroom has soap, shampoo and a sufficient supply of toilet paper. Drinking water is designed for every day. Very beautiful and cozy interior, no foreign odors. The air conditioner cools perfectly and works quietly. The Internet speed is good. There are an excellent lighting and plenty of pillows on the bed, a hot shower works great. There is a metro station, shops and a shopping center nearby. The staff is very friendly. It was the most comfortable stay.
  
  What could be improved: There is a road nearby, so if you are a lightsleeper, then use earplugs. But this is true for any apartments in this area.
