Discovery Suites Manila, Philippines Overview
You know what really struck me about Discovery Suites Manila, Philippines when I first walked in? The lobby actually feels calm despite being right in the heart of Ortigas Center – and trust me, that’s saying something in Manila. This four-star property sits on ADB Avenue, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is. Once you’re inside, there’s this surprisingly serene vibe that makes you forget you’re surrounded by all those gleaming office towers and shopping complexes.
The suites themselves are genuinely spacious – I mean, you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, which is refreshing in a city where every square meter costs a fortune. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to soundproof the rooms pretty well. You’d expect constant traffic noise being so close to EDSA and all the business district chaos, but honestly, I slept better here than at some places tucked away in quieter neighborhoods. The kitchenette setup is actually practical too – not just some token mini-fridge situation. Perfect if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Megamall (which is literally a short walk away) instead of eating out for every meal.
Here’s the thing about staying in Ortigas – you’re incredibly well-connected without dealing with the tourist crowds of Makati or BGC. The MRT station is close enough that you can easily hop over to other parts of the city, but you’re also walking distance from some solid local restaurants that office workers frequent. I discovered this great little Filipino place just a couple blocks away that I never would’ve found if I’d stayed in the typical hotel strips. The staff at Discovery Suites seemed genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions – they actually knew the area well enough to give decent recommendations beyond the obvious mall suggestions. Check-in was smooth, parking was straightforward (which, let’s be honest, is half the battle in Manila), and the whole experience felt more like staying somewhere locals might actually choose rather than just another international chain property. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want – solid comfort in a spot that makes sense.

Reviews of Discovery Suites Manila, Philippines
Relaxing and was good value for money – Joseph from Hong Kong – August 19, 2025 (8/10)
The rooms were very spacious and well appointed.
What could be improved: Not enough staff at the counters during checkin and checkoutAbsolutely fine for what we needed. – Phil from New Zealand – August 14, 2025 (9/10)
The property was located within easy walk for my meetings and easy walk to the malls for food etc It was well appointed with Breakfast and bar / dinner facilities and the food was great.
What could be improved: The lifts are incredibly slow. Quite long wait time to get the lift followed by long travel times. We were on the 17th floor out of 22.I would definitely stay here again. Recommended. – John from New Zealand – August 9, 2025 (9/10)
I liked that the staff were nice and friendly, and the room was clean.
What could be improved: Maybe just the fact that the breakfast buffet rate was quite expensive even from a foreigner perspective. I stayed for 9 nights, and I requested for a better rate, however, it was declined. Most hotels would have breakfast included in the stay. I ended up having breakfast at The Podium everyday, which is on the pricey range, but even that was cheaper to what was being offered at the breakfast rate. This is my only comment about my stay. But otherwise, I would definitely stay here again. Recommended. My home away from home! – Catherine from United States – July 11, 2025 (9/10)
Property is getting old but still very nice. Love the smell of my room. Aircon was great!

The staff were amazing!! Very polite and will go the long mile to help and assist whenever it's needed. The frontdesk staff deserve a raise!
What could be improved: Some towels provided were stained and a little bit off whitish. I think it's about time they change it with new ones since it appeared to be worn out.Wonderful – Maria from Philippines – May 22, 2025 (9/10)
The location is accessible, it’s literally across Podium and a walking distance from Megamall. The rooms are clean and the ambiance is homey. Everyone (guard, valet parking staff, front desk, housekeeping and maintenance personnel) were all genuinely friendly, attentive and quick to respond to any of our requests.
Good – Acosta from United States – May 13, 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Good locationWonderful – Aljohn from Philippines – May 11, 2025 (9/10)
The area is very spacious. It has been very conducive for group works. There have been some issues with the wifi but the staff easily provided us with support.
Plus, you can ask for a pitcher of water every time!
Will be going back again soon
