The Azalea Building itself is tucked back from the main road, so it’s surprisingly quiet at night, which honestly surprised me given how bustling the area can get during the day.

What really won me over was how the staff treated guests – there’s this genuine warmth that you don’t always find in bigger hotels. The rooms are clean and comfortable (nothing fancy, but everything works), and I actually appreciated that they kept things simple rather than trying to be something they’re not. The air conditioning works well, which is crucial in Manila’s heat, and the WiFi was solid throughout my stay. Parking can be a bit tight if you’re driving, but most guests seem to rely on public transport anyway. The breakfast spread is decent – typical Filipino fare with some continental options, though honestly, I’d recommend venturing out to try some of the local food stalls nearby. There’s this particular turo-turo place about a five-minute walk away that serves incredible adobo.

One thing to keep in mind – this isn’t the place if you’re looking for a resort-style experience with pools and fancy amenities. But if you want somewhere clean, safe, and genuinely Filipino where you can experience local life while still having reliable comfort to return to, it’s actually a smart choice. The area gets pretty lively in the evenings with families out and about, kids playing, that sort of authentic neighborhood atmosphere that gives you a real taste of residential Manila life.

• Our stay is comfortable and location is convenient. The only downside is we have to find a laundry shop to wash our clot – Emerlyn from Australia – March 20, 2025 (8/10)

  The location is close to groceries and a short drive to shopping malls and main road. The building has a lift. Unit is spacious and has a 2nd bedroom. The shower has a hot water. It has basic amenities except for washing machine.
  
  What could be improved: Washing machine is not allowed to be used. You have to pay to use the pool and parking.
