Hyatt Regency Manila City of Dreams Overview

Walking into the Hyatt Regency Manila City of Dreams honestly feels like stepping into another world – and I mean that in the best possible way. This five-star property sits right in the heart of Entertainment City, which if you haven’t been to Paranaque lately, has transformed into this glittering casino and entertainment district that’s sort of become Manila’s answer to Vegas (though with way better street food nearby).

The location is actually pretty genius when you think about it. You’re literally connected to the City of Dreams casino complex, so if you’re into that scene, you can wander from your room to the gaming floors without stepping outside. But here’s what I really appreciated – even with all that action downstairs, the hotel itself maintains this calm, sophisticated vibe. The rooms are spacious by Manila standards, and honestly, the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in the Philippines. The views vary depending on which side you’re on, but if you can snag a bay-facing room, you’ll get these sweeping views of Manila Bay that are particularly stunning at sunset. I mean, it’s not exactly quiet – you’re in Entertainment City after all – but the soundproofing is solid enough that you won’t be kept awake by the buzz from below.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to feel both international and distinctly Filipino. The staff here actually seem to enjoy their jobs, which you’ll notice immediately. Check-in was smooth, and they genuinely seemed interested in making sure I knew about things like the shuttle service to nearby malls (super helpful if you don’t want to deal with Manila traffic). The dining options are legitimately good too – not just hotel-good, but actually good. Their breakfast spread is extensive without being overwhelming, and they do this thing where they’ll make fresh eggs exactly how you want them, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re jet-lagged and just want something familiar. The pool area is where I spent most of my downtime – it’s not huge, but it’s well-designed and never felt crowded, even during peak hours. Plus, there’s something satisfying about floating around while looking up at the Manila skyline. If you’re planning to explore beyond Entertainment City, the location works well – you’re close enough to Roxas Boulevard that getting to Makati or BGC isn’t too painful, and the airport is genuinely close, which your future tired self will thank you for.

Exploring Manila offers visitors an unforgettable journey through the Philippines’ vibrant capital, from its Spanish colonial heritage to its modern business developments and world-renowned connections to Southeast Asian culture and traditions.

Reviews of Hyatt Regency Manila City of Dreams

  • Excellent – Jane from Malta – September 2, 2025 (10/10)

    Everything

  • Excellent experience. Great staycation! – Joeyruaro from Philippines – August 25, 2025 (9/10)

First time staying at Hyatt and it did not disappoint! Staff was very attentive and helpful, especially at the club lounge. Special mention to Michelle for helping us check in and out, Joel and Mark for assisting us during breakfast, and the rest of the staff (Shey, Charlene, Melody, Prince, Beverly, Kristine, Lourisse) for making our stay so pleasant! Also, I loved that the room service was available for 24 hours. We didn't leave the City of Dreams and fully enjoyed our staycation!

What could be improved: Staying here is a bit pricey. So, make sure you double-triple check the bill upon check-out. If you are with kids, make sure you check if they ordered room service.

  • We would come again 🙃 – Soraya from Switzerland – August 22, 2025 (10/10)

Our room was big enough for 3 adults & 1 kid.

The beds were very comfortable, we all slept well.
We had an extra bed for 1 adult.
So 2 adults were sleeping in the big bed with the kid.

Bathroom was big and the whole room was always clean.

We enjoyed that snacks & drinks from the mini bar in our room, was for free.
You never get that in a hotel.

All the staff were super friendly and always helpful.

The casino and restaurants were in the hotel, so you could walk anywhere.
The prices of the restaurants were too expensive.

What could be improved: 1 time we had a little insect in our room.
And we didn‘t have any food in the room.
The receptionist advised us, not to have food in the room.

The room seemed quite dark, probably because the windows were tinted.

  • My Perfect Getaway – Ariel from Australia – August 21, 2025 (9/10)

Hyatt COD is near to almost everything you would look for when you’re on holiday.

What could be improved: Children running and squealing around the lobby and pool area.

  • Wonderful place and quite good breakfast super and will stay here again in the future. – Erlinda from Norway – July 28, 2025 (10/10)

I like all about the room breakfast and bed. 🙂 Suggestions as a 5 star hotel could it be a small welcome present to every guest much more sweeter to have this type as a warm welcome for the guest to the hotel room.

  • Wonderful – Dianne from Qatar – July 8, 2025 (8/10)

Spacious and everything is free in the pantry

What could be improved: It took time for someone to answer in the reception when we were calling for checkout. Wish there was a free breakfast also in the booking!

  • Great and warm hotel – Yupadee from Thailand – June 27, 2025 (10/10)

    Large room with full complimentary
    Good cafe
