Novotel Hotel Residences Manila by AMORE Suites Overview

You know what struck me first about Novotel Hotel Residences Manila by AMORE Suites? It’s actually not what you’d expect from most hotels in this part of the city. I mean, when you’re staying in Coronado, you’re kind of in this interesting pocket of Manila where it feels residential but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. The building itself has this modern, almost apartment-like vibe – which makes sense since these are residences, not just regular hotel rooms.

Honestly, the five-star rating isn’t just for show here. The suites are genuinely spacious, and I’m talking about actual living space, not just a bigger bed crammed into the same square footage. Each unit has a proper kitchenette that you’d actually want to use – I ended up grabbing groceries from the nearby market and cooking a few meals because, well, why not? The appliances are decent quality, and there’s enough counter space to spread out. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night; you’re away from the main thoroughfares but close enough that getting a taxi or Grab isn’t a hassle. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work – not in that overly scripted way, but more like they want to solve problems before they become problems.

The location is sort of perfect if you know Manila at all. You’re not stuck in the tourist bubble, but you’re not lost in some random neighborhood either. I could walk to decent local restaurants (there’s this Filipino place about two blocks away that locals actually eat at), and when I wanted to head to Makati or BGC, it was straightforward enough. Parking was never an issue, which honestly surprised me given how tight space gets in this city. The pool area is smaller than what you’d find at a resort, but it’s well-maintained and never felt crowded during my stay. I actually spent a few evenings up there just because it’s peaceful – you can see a bit of the city skyline without all the chaos. One thing to note: the elevators can get slow during peak hours, but that’s pretty typical for residential-style buildings. Overall, if you want the independence of having your own space but with the backup of hotel services when you need them, this place hits that sweet spot. It feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than staying in a cookie-cutter hotel room.
