KL Tower Residences near Greenbelt Makati Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard about KL Tower Residences near Greenbelt Makati, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name makes it sound like it’s somehow connected to Kuala Lumpur’s famous tower, but this is actually a solid four-star residential-style hotel right in the heart of Makati‘s business district. Once I got there though, I realized why they chose that name – the building has this sleek, tower-like presence that really stands out on Gamboa Street.

What struck me immediately was how this place feels more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel. The units are spacious (honestly, way more room than most Manila hotels give you), and each comes with a proper kitchenette that’s actually useful – not one of those tiny hotel fridges with a hot plate. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Greenbelt’s incredible food scene, so you might not cook much, but having the option feels luxurious. The staff seemed genuinely surprised when I complimented the full-sized refrigerator, like they’re not used to guests appreciating these practical touches.

Location-wise, you really can’t beat this spot if you’re doing business in Makati or just want to be in the thick of things. Greenbelt is right there – you can practically see it from some of the higher floors – and the whole Ayala area spreads out around you. I loved being able to walk to meetings during the day, then slip back for a quick shower before heading out to dinner. The building itself sits on this quieter stretch of Gamboa, so you get the energy of central Makati without feeling like you’re sleeping on EDSA. Traffic noise is definitely present (this is Manila, after all), but it’s not overwhelming, especially if you end up on one of the upper floors. The 7.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the Peninsula or the Shangri-La, but what it does, it does really well. Some of the furnishings could use updating, and the elevator can be painfully slow during peak hours, but the value proposition is solid. You’re getting apartment-style space and amenities in one of the city’s prime locations, without paying resort prices. Plus, the building has this lived-in feel that I actually prefer to overly polished hotel lobbies – it feels authentic, like a place where people actually stay for more than just a night or two.

Exploring Manila offers visitors an unforgettable journey through the Philippines’ vibrant capital, from its Spanish colonial heritage to its modern business developments and world-renowned connections to Southeast Asian culture and traditions.
