I mean, the décor is a bit safe – lots of neutral tones and generic art – but the beds are genuinely comfortable and the blackout curtains actually block out the street noise, which can get pretty intense around Salas Street during rush hour.

The front desk staff remember your name after the first day, and they give you actual useful advice about getting around the city, not just the standard tourist brochure recommendations. They helped me figure out the best times to grab a taxi to avoid the worst traffic, and one of the concierges even drew me a little map showing the shortcut to the nearest LRT station. The breakfast buffet is surprisingly good too – proper Filipino options alongside the usual international stuff, and the coffee is actually decent, not that watery hotel coffee that tastes like disappointment. Parking can be a bit tight if you’re driving, but honestly, you probably shouldn’t be driving in Manila anyway unless you enjoy sitting in traffic for hours. The hotel’s location means you can walk to plenty of places or easily catch public transport when you need to venture further out.
