Honestly, when I first pulled up to Makati SM Jazz Residence Staycation Condo with balcony, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a condo setup in the heart of Makati‘s business district. But you know what? This four-star place totally surprised me in the best way possible.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you think about it – you’re right on SM Jazz Drive, which means you can literally walk to SM Makati mall in about three minutes (I timed it because I’m weird like that). What I really loved though was stepping out onto that balcony they promise in the name. It’s not huge, but it gives you this nice little breather from the city buzz below, and honestly, having your morning coffee out there while watching Makati wake up is sort of therapeutic. The condo itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel – there’s a proper kitchen if you want to grab groceries from the SM supermarket downstairs, which I actually did a couple times because eating out every meal gets exhausting.

The building has that modern residential vibe going on, and I mean, it’s clean and well-maintained without being sterile. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – no long waits or confusing directions through endless hotel corridors. What really won me over was the practical stuff that matters when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The wifi actually works (shocking, I know), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with it all night. Now, it’s not going to blow you away with fancy amenities or a concierge who knows your name, but that’s not really the point here. This is more about having a solid, comfortable base in one of Manila’s busiest areas without paying resort prices. The noise level was totally manageable too – I was worried about street sounds, but the windows do their job pretty well. If you’re someone who likes having options right at your doorstep but still wants to retreat to something that feels like home, this place hits that sweet spot. Plus, being in tower B means you’re a bit removed from the main foot traffic, which gives you that residential calm while still being steps away from restaurants, shopping, and the MRT if you need to venture further into Manila.

  Central, shopping mall and restaurants. Best big and clean swimming pool for exercise laps. Silent dual split AC. Well equipped kitchen. Netflix subscription.No insects, no bad smell.Wifi ok. Nice TV

  What could be improved: Mattress is very soft and pushing down with hands you can feel the springs. Ok if guests up to 80kg. Need new mattress. Uncomfortable sofa for sitting. Tiles in bathroom needs cleaning, mould several places between tiles and sink in bathroom.

  The unit is very comfy ,clean and smells nice .Aircon, wifi,Netflix, hot and cold shower, washing machine are working and very helpful to our needs.The balcony is nice to have a cup of coffee with your family.Fantastic city view. Mr. Andre the host is kind and friendly.We are lucky that time the unit is available for early check in.The bed is comfy.Mr.Andre the host is so kind to make it sure the sofa bed is assembled and ready to use.Easy to communicate.Thank you.
  The location is great. Jazz Mall, groceries, decent restaurant,wellness ,dental, Alfa mart, coffee shop and so on.The security guard and staff are helpful and alert.
  I highly recommend it to my family and friends.
  
  What could be improved: A few insects appeared at night time. An insect spray helps to solve the problem.

  The unit is cozy and the room smells good upon checked in. No issues with the Aircon, keeps the room cold throughout our stay. There are provided basic cooking condiments (oil,fish sauce, vinegar, salt). Bed is comfortable and an additional 4inches matress is available. 2 comforters were provided. Easy checkin. We do not need to wait for the host as the room is already prep and keys is available.
  
  What could be improved: Not sure if the water heater functions as the water is not heated. The balcony does not have lock.
