Manila Prince Hotel Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Manila Prince Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much from a place tucked away on San Marcelino Street. But you know what? This four-star spot in Ermita actually surprised me in the best possible way. The lobby has this sort of old-school Manila charm that feels authentic without being stuffy, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests arrive (which, let’s face it, isn’t always a given in this city).
What really won me over was the location – I mean, you’re right in the heart of Manila but on a street that’s busy enough to feel alive without being completely chaotic. Rizal Park is literally a five-minute walk away, which is perfect for those early morning jogs when the city’s still waking up and the air is actually breathable. The rooms themselves are solid – nothing fancy, but they’re clean, the AC works like a dream (crucial in Manila’s heat), and honestly, the beds are more comfortable than I expected. I stayed on the seventh floor and barely heard street noise at night, which is pretty impressive considering where you are.
Here’s what I really appreciated: the restaurant downstairs serves decent Filipino breakfast, but more importantly, they know all the good local spots if you want to venture out. The concierge – this guy named Carlos – actually drew me a little map to the best sisig place in Malate, just a few blocks away. That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t get from chain hotels. The pool area is small but clean, perfect for a quick dip after walking around Intramuros all day. Parking can be tight during peak hours, but they’ve got valet service that’s reasonably priced. One minor thing – the elevators are a bit slow during check-in rush, but that’s pretty typical for older Manila hotels. Overall, it’s got that sweet spot of being comfortable and well-located without breaking the bank, and you get the sense that the people running it actually care about the place.

I visit Manila 2 or 3 times a year. This is my "go to" hotel in Manila. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The breakfast is excellent.. The room is large and comfortable with numerous electrical outlets. The shower is strong. There are numerous restaurants within short walking distance.
What could be improved: I have no complaints this stay.Very Good – Amirul from Malaysia – August 19, 2025 (8/10)
Number 1 is staff really helpful and polite. Allow me for early check in after a long flight and tiring day. Provided luggage storage prior check in. Room is spacious and clean. Eventhough it is an old hotel. The furniture is well kept.
What could be improved: My bathup room number 504 is leaking. Should be repaired. But not a big issue during my stay. Should provide halal food for breakfast ie chicken/meat so that many other muslim traveller can stay at your hotel.Manila Prince Review – Nicholas from Singapore – August 14, 2025 (9/10)
What could be improved: The hotel Is nice, staff very friendly . But main issues is heavy traffic vehicles movements, that cause traffic jams & slow vehicles movement.

I like the fact that they are punctual whenever they see something that is not okay they resolve it as quickly as they can. And the staffs are amazing.
What could be improved: Nothing much.Great value for money – Aecel from New Zealand – August 2, 2025 (9/10)
The room is clean and spacious. We stayed at one of the adjacent rooms because we're a big family and it was perfect. We all enjoyed our breakfast. Buffet food was delicious and worth every penny. The staff were all amazing 👏 we will definitely come back again.
What could be improved: Could do with a shower and change area near the pool so we didn't have to go to our rooms soaking wet and dripping. But they do have access from the pool area to the lift without going to the lobby.Best value for top class hotel in Manila – Michael from Australia – July 26, 2025 (9/10)
