Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of serviced apartments around Manila, but Marivic’s Place at Air Residences Makati honestly surprised me. You know how these condo-hotels can feel sort of sterile and impersonal? Well, this one actually has some character to it – maybe it’s because Marivic herself seems to really care about the details, or maybe it’s just the way she’s set up the place, but it feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed apartment than some corporate accommodation.

The location on Malugay Street is actually pretty sweet if you know San Antonio Village at all. I mean, you’re not right in the thick of the Ayala CBD chaos, but you can easily walk to all the good stuff – there’s a 7-Eleven literally around the corner (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), and you’re maybe a ten-minute stroll to Greenbelt if you don’t mind the walk. The Air Residences building itself is one of those newer developments that doesn’t look half-bad, and honestly, the security is tight without being annoying about it. What I really liked was how quiet it gets at night – you’d think being in Makati you’d hear traffic constantly, but the unit’s positioned well enough that you actually get decent sleep.

The apartment itself feels properly lived-in, if that makes sense. Marivic’s clearly put thought into the kitchen setup – there’s actually enough counter space to prep a real meal, and the fridge is big enough for more than just leftover takeout. The Wi-Fi works consistently (I was there during some heavy rain and never lost connection), and there’s this little workspace corner that’s perfect if you need to knock out some emails. The four-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but everything works well and there’s genuine attention to comfort. The aircon is powerful enough for those brutal Manila afternoons, and the water pressure in the shower is actually impressive for a high-rise unit. I’ll be honest, the building’s amenities are pretty standard – pool, gym, that sort of thing – but they’re well-maintained and never felt overcrowded when I used them. If you’re looking for something that feels more authentic than your typical hotel chain but still reliable enough that you won’t be dealing with surprises, this place hits that sweet spot.

  The entrance is very clean and safe for getting in and out of the car. The mall is attached to the building, so there is no need to worry about dining. The rooms are also on a high floor with a nice view.

  I like that it was on a high floor. The view is amazing. It’s clean and it feels very homey and cozy. Also, I really like the fact that there is a small mall in the condo building. There are many restaurants to choose from and there is a small supermarket too.

  Great comms from Marivic, felt at home immediately. It's in a great location with fantastic views of the city. Mall with restaurants and a supermarket attached to the building on the ground floor. The lock had a technical issue which was resolved as soon as possible which was great service and reassuring that any issue could be responded to quickly.
