What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings – Pasay can be pretty intense with traffic noise, but this particular stretch of Dominga Street seems to miss most of that.

Here’s the thing though – the location is kind of perfect if you know how to work it. You’re not right in the tourist thick of things, which means you get to see how people actually live in Manila, but you can still grab a jeepney or tricycle and be in Makati or the main tourist areas pretty quickly. The building itself feels secure without being stuffy, and parking (if you end up renting a car, which I’d actually recommend for day trips) isn’t the nightmare it can be elsewhere in the city. I stayed during what locals told me was a particularly busy season, but the neighborhood kept this residential vibe that made it feel like I was staying somewhere real rather than just passing through. The rating speaks for itself really – everything worked exactly as it should, the wifi was reliable enough for work calls, and the air conditioning, well, let’s just say it’s going to be your best friend in Manila’s humidity.

• Wonderful Stay: Clean, Quiet, and Communicative Host – Raleigh from Hong Kong – August 22, 2025 (10/10)

  Stayed 10 days at this Airbnb and loved it! The host was super accommodating and helpful throughout. They immediately replied whenever we had questions or needed help, and even assisted us to reserve a parking spot for the whole period of our stay (which was not part of the deal). They also let us check out late coz our flight back home is in the early evening and we really appreciate this and more.
  
  The unit was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. The sofa in the living room and the beds in the bedroom were so comfy and there were enough pillows. The toilet and shower room was big and the water pressure from the shower was good. You can get free refills of purified drinking water from the water refilling station on the 3/F, where there is also a laundry shop with a friendly staff who always helped us do our laundry.
  
  We didn't have the time to try the swimming pool on the G/F because of all the activities we had and the places we went to during our trip, but the water sure looked nice and clean, and the pool is big so it doesn't get crowded.
  
  It was peaceful and quiet in this place, so we've always gotten a good night's sleep. We also enjoyed a beautiful city view from the balcony.

  What could be improved: we came back late at 1am on our last night of stay and can't get in the unit anymore. we got locked out coz the smart lock code provided to us for the door seemed to have expired so early… I panicked coz it was already 1am and the host may not be able to respond. fortunately, he answered our call instantly and helped solve the problem right away, so its ALL GOOD!
