When I first walked into Novotel Residence Hotel Manila by Jolly Luxe Suites at Acqua, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, you know? But once you get past that, this five-star property really delivers something different in the Malate area. It sits right in the Acqua Private Residences complex, which means you’re getting that residential vibe rather than the typical hotel hustle and bustle.

What really struck me was how they’ve managed to blend the Novotel reliability with these spacious suite-style accommodations. I mean, we’re talking about proper living spaces here, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge. The kitchenettes are actually functional – I watched other guests using them for real meal prep, not just reheating takeout. The whole setup feels like you’re borrowing a well-appointed apartment from a very organized friend. You’ll find yourself just a short walk from the Manila Bay waterfront, and honestly, that proximity to Roxas Boulevard makes evening strolls really tempting, especially when the bay breeze kicks in around sunset.

The location in Manila puts you in this interesting spot where you’re close enough to Ermita and the old tourist district, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant noise and crowds. I noticed the staff genuinely knows the neighborhood – they’ll point you toward the good local spots rather than just the obvious tourist traps. The building itself has this modern residential feel that’s pretty refreshing after staying in some of Manila’s more traditional hotel towers. Parking isn’t a nightmare here either, which anyone who’s driven in Manila will appreciate. The pool area actually gets decent use without feeling overcrowded, and there’s something nice about looking out at the city from up there without the chaos feeling overwhelming. Sure, it’s not right in the heart of Makati’s business district, but if you’re looking for that balance between accessibility and actually being able to relax, this place hits that sweet spot pretty well.

  Fantastic location, amazing view of Manila. Good proximity to a mall, and about a 20mn walk to find some good restaurants and nightlife. Jhane met us with keys, and it was a smooth check-in process. Beautiful apartment with a very comfortable bed and GREAT air conditioning!

  Location was great. Check in was a runaround. For the start of the trip, it was an ideal cost-effective stay. Room manager was fantastic and assisted with issues regarding Netflix etc. Jhoan was all about ensuring we were happy.
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen was poorly catered. I had to go and buy wine glasses, toaster and frying pan. We were lacking spoons and knives although made do with what was there. The apartment was only new to the platform and the manager was going to fix it although we were going to be gone prior to this occurring. Our disappointment was that we booked the room due to the kitchen and with the typhoons order in was too long. We needed to cook our own meals each day, and it was problematic to start with. It would also be nice to have an option to have the room serviced.

  Spent 1 night at casa de Masaken at Novotel Suites Manila and it was very good experience. Everything was clean and at the level expected. Gym and pool are on separate floors but easily accessible. Would suggest as improvement to provide 2 key cards for access around the building. Thanks

  I stayed at Novotel for a night and overall the experience was awesome, the room was very clean and bed was so comfortable and we had a very nice sleep. The service was very accomodating and they answered our queries on time, they are so responsive.
  
  Location was close to Rockwell and public transport which made getting around easy.
  
  Amenities- nice pool and theres also a gym and nice garden for a nice walk too.
