Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery Collection Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery Collection along Roxas Boulevard – I mean, you know how waterfront hotels can be hit or miss. But walking into that lobby, with its mix of colonial elegance and modern Filipino touches, I actually stopped mid-stride. The place has this sophisticated naval theme that could’ve been cheesy but somehow works perfectly, probably because they didn’t go overboard with it (pun intended).
What really got me was the attention to detail throughout this five-star property. The rooms have these gorgeous hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Manila Bay beautifully – and trust me, you’ll want that bay view, especially for the sunsets. I stayed on the eighth floor and could watch the ferries coming and going from the nearby pier while sipping coffee from their Nespresso machine. The bathroom marble felt substantial under your feet, not like those thin veneer jobs you sometimes get. One small thing though – the air conditioning can be a bit aggressive, so you might want to adjust it right when you check in.
The location on Roxas Boulevard puts you right in the thick of things without feeling overwhelmed by Manila’s intensity. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Cultural Center of the Philippines if you’re into arts stuff, and Intramuros is close enough for an easy morning exploration before it gets too hot. What I loved was being able to step out for a jog along the baywalk early morning – there’s something about watching the city wake up with the bay on one side and the urban hustle starting up on the other. The hotel’s restaurant, Spiral, actually lives up to its reputation too, which surprised me since hotel restaurants can be pretty forgettable. Their Sunday brunch is worth the splurge if you’re there on the weekend, though it does get crowded with local families around noon. The staff genuinely seemed to care about getting things right – they remembered my preference for extra towels without me having to ask twice, and the concierge gave me spot-on recommendations for authentic Filipino food that wasn’t just the usual tourist traps. Overall, it’s one of those places that manages to feel both luxurious and comfortable, which isn’t always easy to pull off in a city as vibrant and chaotic as Manila.
Manila’s apartments offer modern accommodations with city views, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this culturally rich Philippine capital city.

We spent our first night at the admiral, hotel Manila and had an overall good experience.
The hotel is very Asian chic , quite luxurious, and the rooms are comfortable. It is not walkable distance from anything close to the city center, so you have to be aware and take a grab or taxi or tuktuk to move around. The staff was very nice and pleasant.Good rest after long flights from PARIS and delays. – Jayne from New Zealand – September 1, 2025 (8/10)
