The moment you walk into this four-star setup, there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos.

The studio itself is smartly designed – I mean, they’ve managed to fit everything you’d want without making it feel cramped, which is honestly impressive given how precious space is in this part of Makati. The pool view they’re talking about? It’s legit, and there’s something really satisfying about having your morning coffee while watching the city wake up below. What really got me though was how quiet it stays despite being right in the heart of everything. The soundproofing is solid – I barely heard the typical Manila traffic chaos that usually keeps you up at night. The kitchen setup is actually functional too, not one of those token kitchenettes that can barely handle instant noodles. I ended up cooking more than I planned because everything you need is within walking distance, including that well-stocked grocery at Greenbelt that locals swear by.

Location-wise, this is where The Beacon really shines. You’re literally minutes from Ayala Avenue without dealing with the insane foot traffic around the main mall entrances. There’s this little side street – Legazpi Street – that cuts your walking time to the MRT station in half, something I only figured out after asking the front desk staff (who, by the way, actually know the neighborhood instead of just reading from a script). The whole Legazpi Village area has this slightly more relaxed vibe compared to the madness around Glorietta, but you’re still close enough to hit up all the restaurants and shopping when you want to. Parking was surprisingly painless too – they’ve got dedicated spots and the rates aren’t the usual highway robbery you’d expect in this district. I stayed during what I thought would be peak season, but the pool area never felt overcrowded, and the gym stays pretty empty in the mornings if you’re into that. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevators can get a bit slow during evening rush hour when everyone’s coming back, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for any decent building in this area. Overall, it’s one of those places that just works – comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to get what makes a stay actually pleasant rather than just adequate.
