Reese @ Sea Residences Manila Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Reese @ Sea Residences Manila, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a condo-hotel setup in the Mall of Asia Complex. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you walk into Unit 1127 A in Building A, it feels more like staying at a friend’s really nice apartment than some sterile hotel room. The space is genuinely spacious, and I mean actually spacious – not that “spacious” hotels usually claim where you can barely open your suitcase.
What really got me was the location, though. Being right on Sunrise Drive means you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from SM Mall of Asia, which honestly is both a blessing and maybe a tiny curse depending on how much you like crowds. But here’s the thing locals know – if you time it right and head out in the morning, you can grab incredible coffee and breakfast at the mall before the tourist buses start rolling in. The four-star rating feels spot-on because while it’s not trying to be some fancy resort, everything just… works. The kitchen setup is actually functional (I made pasta one night, and it was lovely), and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes like some places I’ve stayed.
The view situation really depends on which side of the building you end up on, but even if you don’t get the bay view, the city sprawl of Manila has its own kind of energy that’s pretty mesmerizing, especially at night. I spent way too much time just watching the lights come on across Pasay. One small thing – and this might just be me being picky – but the elevator situation during peak hours can get a bit chaotic since you’re sharing with actual residents, not just hotel guests. It’s not a dealbreaker, just something to factor in if you’re always running late. The building itself feels secure though, which matters a lot in this part of the city. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night despite being in such a busy area – the soundproofing is surprisingly solid. You’ll hear the distant hum of Manila being Manila, but it’s more like a gentle urban lullaby than anything disruptive. For the price point and that 9.1 rating, it makes total sense why people keep coming back here.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Manila at least two months ahead for major events like cultural festivals and religious celebrations, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular historic attractions.

It was my daughter’s graduation at the SMX Convention. The place is very near to SMX just a walking distance though we still booked a Grab which cost less than ₱100. The place is clean and have all the basic necessities. They even have iron and ironing board. We parked at MAAX. Overnight parking is 300 + 50 flat rate. The owner is also very accomodating. Overall, the stay was superb.

The location is amazing. They had a firework show at MOA and the whole thing was visible from the balcony. There is a small bakery downstairs that I cannot recommend enough. Went there every morning for the two weeks we were there.
