The rooms are what I’d call “reliably comfortable” – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but the beds are actually firm enough that you won’t wake up with a backache, and the air conditioning works properly, which is basically all I need in this humidity. What really got my attention was how quiet it stays despite being surrounded by all those Ortigas high-rises. I was on the eighth floor and barely heard the street noise, even with the windows facing the avenue.

The staff here operates with that efficient-but-friendly Filipino hospitality that makes everything feel less transactional than some of the bigger international chains in the area. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprises with the bill, and when I needed directions to find a decent barber shop nearby, the front desk guy actually drew me a little map instead of just pointing vaguely. Look, I’m not going to pretend this is some luxury resort experience – it’s a solid business hotel that does what it promises without the inflated prices you’ll find at the Shangri-La down the road. The breakfast buffet has enough variety to keep you happy for a few days (though honestly, you might want to venture out to try some of the local spots in the area), and there’s a small gym that’s adequate if you need to work off all that sisig. If you’re in Manila for work or using Ortigas as a base to explore the metro area, this place hits that sweet spot of being comfortable, reasonably priced, and actually convenient to things you might want to do. Plus, parking here doesn’t cost a fortune, which anyone who’s driven in Manila will appreciate more than fancy lobby marble.

  The heated pool was amazing. It’s been a month since our visit and we miss it. The breakfast buffet also had a lot of choices.
  
  What could be improved: The hot water in our room did not work so we had to be transferred to another room, just when we had everything unpacked. So if you are staying here, check first if the hot water is working before unpacking all your stuff. They could also narrow down their A La Carte menu and make them real good.

  The hotel did feel old, but we experienced a good stay at the hotel. Perhaps the wood and carpet gave this feel. There were no bad smells as per other reviews.
