Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, Manila Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, Manila, I wasn’t expecting much from another business hotel in the middle of all those office towers. But you know what? This four-star place actually surprised me in ways that matter when you’re trying to get some decent rest after dealing with Manila traffic all day.

The thing about staying in Ortigas Center is that you’re right in the thick of the business district, which means weekdays can feel pretty corporate and sterile. But here’s what I discovered – the Richmonde sits on San Miguel Avenue in this sweet spot where you can actually walk to decent restaurants without having to brave EDSA. I mean, you’ve got Greenhills Shopping Center just across the way (perfect for those late-night food court cravings), and honestly, being able to walk somewhere in Manila without planning a major expedition feels like a small miracle. The rooms are what I’d call “reliably comfortable” – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but the beds are actually firm enough that you won’t wake up with a backache, and the air conditioning works properly, which is basically all I need in this humidity. What really got my attention was how quiet it stays despite being surrounded by all those Ortigas high-rises. I was on the eighth floor and barely heard the street noise, even with the windows facing the avenue.

The staff here operates with that efficient-but-friendly Filipino hospitality that makes everything feel less transactional than some of the bigger international chains in the area. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprises with the bill, and when I needed directions to find a decent barber shop nearby, the front desk guy actually drew me a little map instead of just pointing vaguely. Look, I’m not going to pretend this is some luxury resort experience – it’s a solid business hotel that does what it promises without the inflated prices you’ll find at the Shangri-La down the road. The breakfast buffet has enough variety to keep you happy for a few days (though honestly, you might want to venture out to try some of the local spots in the area), and there’s a small gym that’s adequate if you need to work off all that sisig. If you’re in Manila for work or using Ortigas as a base to explore the metro area, this place hits that sweet spot of being comfortable, reasonably priced, and actually convenient to things you might want to do. Plus, parking here doesn’t cost a fortune, which anyone who’s driven in Manila will appreciate more than fancy lobby marble.

Hotels in Manila offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this cultural capital, with easy access to colonial landmarks, vibrant nightlife, and renowned Manila Bay waterfront.

Reviews of Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, Manila

  • It was good 🙂 – Valenzuela from Philippines – September 9, 2025 (8/10)

The Breakfast Buffet was amazing! I absolutely enjoyed as well as my family~

What could be improved: There were no cups, plates, or utensils available in the kitchen. This is especially important since there is a microwave, but we couldn't use it.

  • Very Good – Lalaine from Philippines – June 2, 2025 (8/10)

Food are great. Room are also convenient.

What could be improved: My concern is only the wifi since only limited to access like if only for 4 persons. However, I have more than 1 phone and I am using laptop as well for work. So other family member can no longer connect.Pool is under maintenance

  • Very good – Ma from Philippines – May 5, 2025 (8/10)

    Everything

What could be improved: That it needs maintenance and you can notice that everything is outdated

  • Good location. Nice pool. Okay breakfast buffet. – Jessica from Sweden – March 21, 2025 (7/10)

The heated pool was amazing. It’s been a month since our visit and we miss it. The breakfast buffet also had a lot of choices.

What could be improved: The hot water in our room did not work so we had to be transferred to another room, just when we had everything unpacked. So if you are staying here, check first if the hot water is working before unpacking all your stuff. They could also narrow down their A La Carte menu and make them real good.

  • Good enough for one night. – Khoon from Singapore – February 22, 2025 (7/10)

Breakfast was tasty. Small variety but tasty.

What could be improved: Bathroom is aged. Lack of hair dryer.

  • Very Good – Ivan from Indonesia – February 15, 2025 (8/10)

The hotel did feel old, but we experienced a good stay at the hotel. Perhaps the wood and carpet gave this feel. There were no bad smells as per other reviews.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Sheets and bed was good, hot water was good and AC was good.

All in all, a good experience enhanced by great staff.

The staff, all of them, from security to wait staff at breakfast.

    The reception staff were outstanding

The breakfast was at a good standard and had many choices.

    I would stay here again.

    .

What could be improved: The view from the 1 bedroom suite was of the internal area of the hotel but not much can be done about that.

Again, it was fine for the time we stayed and although we did see other bad reviews we did not experience anything as bad as other reviews.

  • Great location and service – Ian from Australia – January 18, 2025 (8/10)

Great location, generously sized rooms and friendly staff

What could be improved: Rooms and facilities are a bit dated

  • Very Good – Steven from United States – December 27, 2024 (8/10)

    The staff

  • Very Good – Raymil from Philippines – December 7, 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: Price could've been lower for the rented room.

  • Very Good – Ronald from Philippines – July 8, 2024 (8/10)

The facilities and staff are great and accommodating.
