I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Sakan 5-Star Quality Condotel, I was a bit skeptical about the “5-star quality” claim for what’s actually a four-star property. But you know what? After spending time there, I get why they’re confident enough to put that in their name. This place really does punch above its weight class.

Located in the Shore 2 Residences complex in Pasay, it’s one of those condotel setups where you get the space and amenities of a condo with hotel-style service. The units are genuinely spacious – I mean, you can actually spread out your luggage without playing Tetris with the furniture. What struck me most was how quiet it stays despite being in such a busy area. The building’s design somehow blocks out most of the typical Manila traffic noise, which honestly surprised me. You’re close enough to NAIA that you can hear planes occasionally, but it’s not disruptive – more like a distant hum that you stop noticing after the first day.

The kitchen setup is where this place really shines. It’s not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation – you get proper cooking facilities, which is clutch if you’re staying longer or just want to grab groceries from the SM Mall of Asia nearby instead of eating out every meal. The staff actually seems to care about maintaining the place too, not like some condotels where you can tell they’ve given up on the details. I noticed they keep the common areas genuinely clean, and when I had a minor issue with the air conditioning remote, someone was up to fix it within twenty minutes. The pool area gets decent sun in the afternoons, and while it’s not huge, it’s perfect for cooling off – plus it rarely gets crowded during weekdays.

What really sold me on this place is its location within Pasay. You’re walking distance from MOA, which means easy access to restaurants, shopping, and that decent food court when you want something quick and local. The jeepney routes from here connect you to different parts of Metro Manila pretty efficiently, and grabbing a Grab is never an issue. I stayed during a particularly busy conference season, and while other hotels were gouging prices, this place kept their rates reasonable. It’s got that 9.3 rating for good reason – they’re doing the small things right, like actually having decent water pressure and WiFi that works in every corner of the unit, not just near the router.

  It was clean and has everything we need for our short stay. We like the keyless entry too and no need to bring keys everywhere.
