From my window on the fifth floor, I could see the mix of residential neighborhoods and commercial strips that make up Las Piñas – it’s not the most glamorous view, but there’s something authentic about watching the daily rhythm of the city below.

The location actually works better than you’d think. Sure, you’re not in Makati or BGC, but that’s kind of the point – you get a real sense of how locals live without sacrificing comfort. SM Southmall is literally a five-minute drive away (traffic permitting, of course), and if you’re heading to the airport, you can usually make it in about 45 minutes during off-peak hours. The hotel restaurant serves surprisingly good Filipino comfort food – their adobo rice is actually addictive, and the morning buffet has fresh mangoes that are perfectly ripe. I spent a few evenings just sitting in their lobby bar with a San Miguel, watching business meetings wind down and families checking in for weekend staycations. The vibe is relaxed but professional, if that makes sense. You’ll hear a mix of English, Filipino, and occasional Chinese from guests, which gives you a feel for the diverse crowd this place attracts. It’s not trying to be a resort or a boutique hotel – it’s just a really solid, well-run property that does the basics exceptionally well and throws in enough thoughtful touches to make you feel like you made a smart choice.

  Room was big, clean linens, comfy bed, good parking, so many activities that kids can enjoy like the outdoor playground, explorcation package which comes with a fee. The swimming pool is also big and clean with jaccuzzi. Buffet breakfast was decent enough with wide selection of dishes.
  
  What could be improved: Check in and check out process takes too long. Only two kinds of fruits in the buffet. Some food in Buffet dinner were not delicious. Guests need to pay extra to avail of the kiddie activities. Shower rooms in the the pool area are not well-maintained.
