I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Victoria Suite at Shore Residences, I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like just another serviced apartment setup. But walking into this place along Seaside Boulevard actually surprised me in a good way. The whole Shore Residences complex has this modern, clean-lined vibe that feels more upscale than you’d expect for the area, and you’re literally steps from Manila Bay. I mean, you can smell the ocean air the moment you step outside.

What really won me over was how they’ve managed to make these suites feel like actual homes rather than hotel rooms with kitchenettes slapped in. The space is generous – honestly more room than I needed traveling solo, but perfect if you’re staying longer or with family. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. I actually ended up cooking a few meals because there’s a decent grocery store nearby, and after eating out in Manila for days, having that option was a lifesaver. The four-star rating feels about right – it’s polished and comfortable without being flashy about it.

The location is what makes this place work, though. You’re right on the bay side of Pasay, which means you get those sunset views without the chaos of Malate or Ermita. It’s quiet enough to actually sleep, but you’re still close to everything – MOA is practically next door, and getting to Makati or BGC isn’t a nightmare from here. The building has good security, which matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. Parking was never an issue either, something I definitely can’t say about most places in Metro Manila. You know what really sealed it for me? The staff actually remembered my name after the first day, and when I mentioned I was working remotely, they helped me figure out the best spots in the suite for video calls. Those little touches make all the difference when you’re somewhere unfamiliar.

  The apartment was well located, and the residence was clean.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment had no phone signal inside, and the windows were poorly insulated, allowing noise to come in. Additionally, the air conditioning was noisy, and the curtains were not dark enough to block the morning light.
