You know what? I wasn’t sure what to expect from Will’s Place @ Shore2 Residences Mall of Asia when I first booked it – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, honestly. But this four-star spot in Pasay turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you actually know what you’re doing when it comes to travel planning.

The location is honestly pretty brilliant if you think about it. You’re literally inside the Shore 2 Residences complex, which means you can roll out of bed and be at SM Mall of Asia in about five minutes on foot – and I mean actually five minutes, not that “five minutes” hotels usually promise that turns into a sweaty 15-minute hike. The whole setup feels like you’re staying in a proper residential building rather than a typical hotel, which I actually loved. There’s something refreshing about taking the elevator up to the 11th floor and walking down a quiet hallway that doesn’t smell like industrial carpet cleaner and air freshener.

The unit itself surprised me – it’s more like a serviced apartment than a hotel room, with a proper kitchenette and living area that doesn’t feel cramped. The bed was actually comfortable (you never know with these places), and the air conditioning worked without sounding like a jet engine, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed in Manila. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, even with all the activity around MOA. The windows do a decent job of keeping the city noise to a dull hum rather than the usual Manila soundtrack of jeepneys and construction.

Here’s the thing though – parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, and the front desk isn’t staffed 24/7 like a traditional hotel, so you’ll want to coordinate your arrival time. But honestly, that residential vibe is part of what makes it feel special. The staff I did interact with were genuinely helpful, not just going through the motions. They actually seemed to know the area well and gave me solid recommendations for food that wasn’t just the usual tourist traps.

The whole Mall of Asia area has really grown on me over the years, and staying here puts you right in the middle of it without feeling like you’re camping out in a shopping center. You’ve got the bay practically on your doorstep, decent restaurants within walking distance, and when you need to escape the crowds, you can actually retreat to somewhere that feels like a proper home base. For the price point and that 8.9 rating it’s earned, I get it – this place delivers on being somewhere you’d actually want to spend time, not just crash for the night.

  The unit was so clean and has free amenities. There are kitchen and dining utensils, also the location is really convenient with the mall of asia being walking distance. Check in is very fast. Free wifi and netflix. A must place for staycation.
