I mean, you’re literally minutes from all the major business districts, but when you’re up in your unit, it actually feels like you’ve escaped the chaos.

The four-star setup here is honestly more like staying in a really nice apartment than a traditional hotel – which makes sense since these are private residences that get rented out. The units I’ve seen are spacious (like, actually spacious, not Manila-spacious), and most come with proper kitchens that you can use without feeling like you’re cooking in a closet. The building itself has that sleek, modern Filipino high-rise vibe going on, and the amenities are solid – there’s a pool area that’s perfect for those sweltering afternoon breaks, plus a decent gym if you’re trying to work off all that amazing Filipino food. What I really appreciate is how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you’re so close to major thoroughfares like EDSA and Pioneer Street.

Here’s the thing about the location though – it’s one of those places where you need to know the area a bit to really appreciate it. You’re walking distance to Century City Mall and Poblacion (honestly, some of the best bars and restaurants in the city are right there), but you’re also close enough to hop over to BGC or Ortigas without dealing with the worst of Manila traffic. The Boni MRT station is pretty accessible too, which is clutch if you’re trying to avoid the car situation entirely. I will say, the building can be a bit tricky to find the first time since Coronado isn’t exactly a main drag, and the signage isn’t super obvious from the street. But once you know where it is, you’ll appreciate that it’s not right on a busy road with all the noise and pollution that comes with that. The staff has always been helpful when I’ve stayed – not overly formal, just genuinely friendly people who seem to actually care about whether you’re comfortable. For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to beat, especially if you’re someone who values space and a more residential feel over being in the heart of a commercial district.

  It's a good place for the price. It has a balcony with a nice view. When I had a problem, the host responded quickly and tried to solve the problem quickly. The Acqua, where it's located, is a quiet place and easy to get to many places.
