Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to AdahkuMaya Luxury Suites in the Emanuele Tower – the whole Venice Luxury Residences complex in Taguig can feel a bit intimidating from the outside. But you know what? Once you’re inside, this four-star property actually feels more like staying in a friend’s really nice apartment than a typical hotel, which I mean in the best possible way.

The suites here are genuinely spacious – and I’m talking about proper living spaces, not those cramped “junior suites” where they just shove a couch next to the bed and call it luxury. Each unit has this modern Filipino aesthetic that doesn’t try too hard, with clean lines and these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in ridiculous amounts of natural light. The kitchenettes are actually functional too, which is perfect if you’re staying longer or just tired of eating out every meal (though honestly, with BGC’s food scene right next door, that’s unlikely to happen). The air conditioning is properly powerful – crucial during Manila’s brutal summer months – and the Wi-Fi speed surprised me in a good way.

What really sold me on this place is its location within Taguig. You’re basically at the edge of Bonifacio Global City without paying BGC hotel prices, and the commute to Makati or even Ortigas isn’t terrible if you time it right. The building’s security is tight but not overbearing – they know their regular guests, which makes check-in smooth after your first visit. There’s decent parking in the building, though it fills up during peak times, so arriving late afternoon on weekdays can be tricky. The neighborhood itself is relatively quiet for Metro Manila standards, especially at night, though you’ll still hear the occasional jeepney or tricycle – that’s just part of the Manila soundtrack. I actually found the staff genuinely helpful with local recommendations rather than just pointing you toward tourist traps, and they seem to take pride in the property. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and they’re flexible about timing if you’re working Manila business hours. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with flashy amenities or a rooftop infinity pool, but sometimes you just want a comfortable, well-maintained place to actually live in for a few days rather than just crash at.

  The unit owner is very approachable and accommodating. He even offered us to extend our check out time. The place has a modern design and is well lighted.

  Best location.. beside the mall. Good value for my money. The owner was very helpful and responded to my messages. It has its own kitchenette so you can cook simple food. The property smell so pleasant when we walked in. Owner is very nice and he allowed us to leave our luggage for an extra hour so we can grab lunch before heading to the airport.
  
  What could be improved: I didn’t realize that it’s a condo rental like air bnb and I have to sign 4 pages of contract as a lessee. The information posted says 1 queen bed and a sofa bed good for 4 pax. However the sofa doesn’t turn into a bed so my daughters have to sleep on the couch. They only provided 1 extra blanket and my other daughter ended up using towels as blanket. Owner sent another blanket the next day. The condensation of the AC in the bedroom drips inside the wall resulting a pool of water on the floor, that also soaked the carpet. My husband didn’t like the light fixture in the bedroom as it doesn’t completely turn off. It has a glow even if it’s turned off and he can’t sleep.
