I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Air Residences, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this four-star spot tucked away in the Malugay area. It’s one of those places that doesn’t scream for attention from the street, but once you’re inside, you realize that’s actually part of its charm. The lobby has this understated elegance that immediately made me feel like I’d stumbled onto something the typical tourist crowd hasn’t discovered yet.

What really struck me about this place is how it manages to feel both modern and comfortable without trying too hard. The rooms are genuinely spacious – I mean, you can actually open your suitcase without having to climb over the bed, which honestly feels like a luxury in Makati these days. The air conditioning works like a dream (crucial in Manila’s heat), and I appreciated that the windows actually open if you want some fresh air. You know what surprised me most? The soundproofing is excellent. Even though you’re in the heart of one of the busiest districts in Metro Manila, I barely heard any street noise at night. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building too – I was able to work from the common areas without any issues.

The location is really where Air Residences shines, though most people probably don’t realize it at first glance. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from some of Makati’s best local restaurants that haven’t been overrun by tourists yet, and the Ayala Avenue business district is close enough that you could walk there if you’re feeling ambitious (though honestly, just grab a taxi – it’s worth the few pesos in Manila traffic). The staff here actually knows the neighborhood, which makes a difference when you need recommendations that go beyond the usual tourist traps. I found the front desk particularly helpful with transportation tips – they knew which times to avoid certain routes and could call reliable drivers. The housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive, and check-in was refreshingly quick. It’s not the fanciest place you’ll find in Makati, but there’s something to be said for a hotel that focuses on getting the basics really right rather than overwhelming you with flashy amenities you’ll never use.

  L’appartement était bien situé et bien équipé dans une belle résidence. La propriétaire nous a permis d’entrer dans le logement avant l’heure initialement prévue sur Booking. Une belle vue sur la piscine.
  
  What could be improved: La piscine n’était pas gratuite, il fallait payer un supplément. Nous aurions aimé le savoir en amont pour éviter de perdre deux heures dans les commodités pour y accéder (recherche d’un ticket, achat d’un ticket au sous-sol, deux heures pour attendre une réponse de la propriétaire concernant cette option normalement gratuite).
