I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Air Residences, SMDC, Makati, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a serviced apartment setup, but this place completely changed my mind about extended stays in Manila. The location on Yakal corner Malugay is actually brilliant if you know Makati well – you’re tucked away from the main Ayala chaos but still close enough that you can walk to Greenbelt in about ten minutes. The building itself has this sleek, modern vibe that screams four-star comfort without being intimidating, and honestly, the lobby feels more like a high-end condo than a typical hotel.

What really got me was how spacious everything feels here. The apartments – and that’s what they really are – come with actual kitchens, which is a game-changer when you’re tired of restaurant food every night. I mean, there’s something satisfying about being able to make your own coffee in the morning or grab a late-night snack from your own fridge. The furnishings are contemporary and clean, though not overly fancy – think IKEA meets upscale Manila living. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the air conditioning works like a dream, which you definitely need in this climate. The windows are well-sealed too, so you don’t get much of the typical Manila street noise filtering in, even though you’re right in the heart of everything.

You know what impressed me most though? The staff actually remembers you after a day or two, and they’re incredibly helpful without being pushy – very Filipino hospitality at its best. The building has solid security, which gives you peace of mind, and the elevators are surprisingly fast for Manila standards. Parking can be a bit tight during peak hours, but that’s pretty much everywhere in Makati anyway. The rooftop area is decent for unwinding after a long day, though it gets pretty busy on weekends. What I really appreciated was how clean everything stays – the housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work. If you’re planning to stay more than a few nights, or if you’re traveling with family and need actual living space rather than just a hotel room, this place hits that sweet spot between comfort and practicality. Plus, with a 9.1 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks they’ve got something special going on here.

  It was in a central location. The unit was good enough for me and my daughter. It was clean and basic amenities were like clean water, fridge and microwave were accessible. The bed was comfortable . We did not get the chance to avail of the 7G,8F where the pool and leisure space was located .

  Much traffic at the lobby with people checking in and out. Both were handled by 1 person. The elevators were always crowded and you have to wait for a while at times. There were several tho.

  The flat was beautifully furnished with a modern aesthetic that made it feel inviting. The folding bed was particularly comfortable, making it ideal for relaxing while watching Netflix movies in the cozy living area. Winnie, the host, was exceptionally communicative and responsive, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The kitchen is impressively equipped with high-quality appliances and utensils; while we didn’t utilize it during our stay, it would be perfect for anyone planning to cook or prepare meals for an extended period. The bathroom, although compact, was thoughtfully arranged with all the essential items you might need, including plush towels and toiletries. It was also meticulously clean, adding to the overall positive experience.

  very good location, close to Greenbelt and Ayala museum. There is a pool with a nice view, especially in evenings. We enjoyed our stay here.

  We had an amazing stay, lovely decoration, the host is very welcoming, there is a a water filter, a laundry machine etc, lots of restaurants option on the first floor
  
  What could be improved: We didn’t know that we had to register for the pool so we couldn’t use it, otherwise everything was great
